Description
June 16, 1931. GUYER MODEL FOR GEOMETRY INSTRUCTION Filed May 10, 1928 Patented June 16; .1931 l UNITED STATES PATEN 11 OFFICE? JEAN GUYER; ZURICH, SWITZERLAXD f Application. filed MODEL FOR GEOMETRY INSTRUCTION May 10, 1928, Serial No. 276,737, and. in Germany June 11, 1927.
This invention relates to a model mpre particularly adapted for use in instruction 1n perspective geometricaldrawing 1n schools colleges and other institutions.
One object of the invention is to provide a geometry model in which geometrical identities such as diagonals, heights and crosssections may be readily demonstrated and shown.
Another object of the invention is to pro- .vide a geometry model comprisingdetach- I able and interchangeable component parts which may be assembled in frame-like A still further object'is to'provide a geom- I etry model which is easily assembled and 1s so light as to be readily carriedfrom place to place.
In the drawingsz Fig. 1 is a perspective of amodel of a foursided pyramid constructed in accordance with this invention.
Fig. 2'is a detail section of the apex-piece. The pyramid shown in Fig. 1 comprises eight straight members and rods,' four spherical connector one detachable apex-piece 10 (Fig. 2). Elastic cords a are provided to of the pyramid.
The apex-p ece connector member is pro-. vided-with asufficient number of holes for the'reception of the rods. These holes are all of the same diameter and are disposed at the correct angular relationship to each other as required for the construction of the models.
What I claim is: r
In apparatus of the class described. rods arranged at an angle to one another,vsleeves slidable on the rods and an elastic cord connecting the sleeves together.
In testimony whereof I aifix my signature. JEAN GUYER;
