WILLIAM MEYER, OF PROGRESS, NEW JERSEY.
SHOWER-BATH APPARATUS.
Specification of Letters Patent No. 18,101, dated September 1, 1857.
To all whom t 'may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM MEYER, of Progress, in the county of Burlington, in the State of New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Shower-Baths; and I do hereby declare that the following is Ya full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making a part of this specification.
A is the lower reservoir; B, pump to force the water to the upper reservoir D; leakage pipe leading from pump into lower reservoir; C, pipe leading from pump to the upper reservoir; c, discharge pipe from pump B; E, upper rose to discharge water downward; e, valve to open and close the upper rose; F,'handle to open and shut valve in upper reservoir; G, stopcock to shut oif Water from pipes H I K and L; H, pipe from upper reservoir to feed pipes. I K and L; I and K, perforated'pipes extending partially around the bath frame at any convenient height; L, lower rose to discharge Water upward; M, draw olf cock.`
`What I claim as my invention and improvements and desire to secure by Letters Patent are- The perforated pipes I and K and the lower rose L by means of which a more thorough and perfect shower bath is obtained.
