PIPE HANGER I Application filed April 8,1930. Serial No. 442,604.

The general object of the invention is to provide a very simple pipe support which" may be cheaply made, easily put in place and has been found very effective in practice.

My invention is illustrated in the accomp anying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is an elevation of a pipe hanger constructed in accordance with my invention,

the pipe being shown in section;

, Referring to the drawings, itwill be seen that my improved pipe hanger consists of two arcuate sections 10 and 11 hinged at 12 adapted to embrace'the pipe 13. The free outward at an angle as at 14 in outwardly convergent relation and then extended straight outward, that is, radially outward as at 15 and then again angularly bent as at 16, the angularly overlapping relation to the angularly bent portion of the other section.-

These two portions are provided, with apertures for the passage of the bolt 17 pro-j vided with the nuts 18. The portion 15 and the two sections are apertured as at 19 whereby an eye rod 20 may be engaged with the hanger by means of a bolt 21.

It will be understood that thesupporting I member 16 in Figure 1 or 21 in Figure 2 may be either a machine threaded bolt, a lag screw or an eye rod as desired. The hinge 12' may be formed by providing eyes on the adj acent extremities'of the two sections and connecting these eyes by a bolt and nut passing through the eyes or by a rivet.
