I A primary object of the present invention is to provide a belt having means associated therewith, whereby the buckle may be secured to one end of the belt, in a detachable manner.

A. still further object of the invention is to provide a device for securing the belt buckle to one end of the belt, said device being separable and apart from the belt buckle and belt, but capable of being readily secured to the belt and belt buckle for securing the latter to the belt.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent during a study of the following detailed description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein:

With reference more in detailto the drawings, it will be seen that my device comprises a waist encircling belt 5, which is preferably of the reversible type, that is to say, either face of the belt may be worn on the outside. For receiving that end of the belt passed through the buckle 6, when the belt is worn, I provide inner and

outer loop members

16 and 17 respectively. The loop member 16 has one side thereof suitably stitched to one face of the belt 5, as at 18, and the other loop member 17 has one side thereof stitched to the other side of the loop 16 as at 19. Obviously, when the belt is worn as shown in Figure 1, the inner loop 16 will receive that end of the belt passed through the buckle 6.

When the belt is worn on the reverse side, the outer loop 17 will receive said end of the belt passed through the buckle 6, as is ap-- parent.

. It is thought that from the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, a clear understanding of the operation, construction, utility and advantages of the invention will be had by those skilled in the art without a more detailed description.

Even though I have herein shown and described the preferred embodiment of my invention, it is to be understood that the same is susceptible to changes fully comprehended by the spirit of the invention as herein described, and the scope of the appended claims.

What is claimed is:

1. In combination, a belt, a buckletherefor, and an attaching device engageable with one end of said belt, and having means for detachable engagement with said buckle for securing the latter to said one end of the belt,

a pair of inner and outer loop members circum acent said belt inwardly form said one end, said inner loop member having one side thereof stitched to said belt, and the opposite side of said inner loop member stitched to an adjacent side of said outer loop member.

2. A belt including in combination two loop members arranged one within the other and disposed circumjacent the belt, the inner one of said loop members having relatively opposite portions secured to the belt and outer loop member respectively. i
