IMPROVEMENT IN REMEDIES FOR CONSTIPATION, &c.
Specification forming part of Letters Batent No. 180,418., dated August 1, 1876; application filed December 18, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEO. S. COLEMAN, of Dallas, in the county of Dallas and State of Texas, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Medical Compounds; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
This invention has relation to medical compounds which are especially designed for the cure of chronic constipation of the bowels, torpid liver, and some other diseases of the human body.
The following is a formula for compounding the improved medicine, together with directions for administering it in all ordinary cases Pure water, ten gallons; sulphate magnesia, twenty-five pounds; sulphate soda, three pounds chloride soda, two pounds; dilute sulphuric acid, fifty-six ounces. Mix.
Directions: One table-spoonful, in a full glass of water, ten to twenty minutes before breakfast. When a speedy action is required, the
