Description
March 10, 1931. E. PAUL SANITARY DIAPER CONTAINER Filed Oct. 21, 1929 2 Sheets-Sheet 1 Inventor Ean/n} fda/ By Wanda A iior'ney March 10, 1931. E. PAUL SANITARY DIAPER CONTAINER 2 Sheets-Sheet 2 Filed Oct. 21. 1929 Patented Mar. 10, 1931 ()FFICE EDWIN PAUL, OF ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO I SANITARY DIAPER CONTAINER Application filed. October 21, 1929.
The present invention relates to an apparatus in which soiled diapers may be thrown and afterwards washed in a sanitary manner.
Another very important object of the invention resides in the provision of an apparatus of this nature which is exceedingly simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture and thoroughly eficient and reliable in use.
lVith the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
In the drawing: 7
Figure 1 is a vertical longitudinal section through the apparatus embodying the features of my invention,
Figure 2 is a side elevation thereof,
Figure 3 is a top plan view thereof with the cover removed,
Figure 4 is a vertical transverse section therethrough, and
Figure 5 is a perspective view of the rack.
Referring to the drawing in detail it will be seen that the numeral 5 denotes generally a somewhat elongated and preferably rectangular container formed with a bottom 6 30 slanting toward'the center and having an opening in the center with a discharge nozzle 7 depending therefrom into which may be inserted a stopper 8. r
A detachable lid or cover 9 is provided for the container. Shoulders or ledges 10 are providedon the inner sides of the endwalls of the container so that a rack 11 may be rested thereon.
On the bottom sides of the center'thereof and on the lower surfaces thereof are cushions 12. Legs 14 depend from the corners of the receptacle. i
From the above detailed description it will be seen that with the stopper 8 in the opening of the bottom 6 diapers may be thrown onto the rack 11 and the apparatus may be placed on a toilet bowl that is illustrated to advantage in Figure 2 and a spray used to spray the diapers thus cleansing them to a considerable extent.
Serial No. 401,152.
merely for the purposes of exemplification I since in actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description.
It will be apparent that changes in the details of construction, in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:
A Washing receptacle for baby clothes comprising an imperforate receptacle adapted to be supported on a water closet bowl and having a bottom formed with inwardly and downwardly inclined drain portions terminating in a centrally depending discharge nozzle extending into the bowl, oppositely disposed bowl engaging cushions on the said inclined drain portions of the bottom of the said receptacle, means for supporting baby clothes within the receptacle, short legs depending from the receptacle for supporting the same when removed from the bowl, and a" stopper for closing the said discharge nozzle.
In testimony whereof I aiiix my signature.
EDWIN PAUL.
