Other objects and advantages of the invention will appear as the description proceeds when taken in connection with the ac` companying drawings wherein the preferred form ofthe invention is disclosed. However, I wish it to be distinctly understood Vthat I do not intend `to limit myself to the exact details shown and described, `but that I intend to avail myself of all such modications as would occur to one skilled in this art and as fall within thescope of the claims.

Referring now indetail to the drawings, the numeral 5 represents a container having therein a portable radio receiving apparatus such as that shown in my co-pending application Serial No. 151,773, filed November 30, 1926, for portable radio receiving sets. This container as shown is provided `with a handle 6 on top thereof and in the front face the opening 7 through which the sound waves emanate from the set, and in i927. seria; No. 207,456.

This front face is provided also with a false cover 112 shown in Fig. 1 inopenposition, which cover as shown in Fig. 3 is adapted toreceive and` detachably retain the frame member` `13 therein. This frame member, `which may be constructed of any` suitable material, is provided at one end portion thereof with the hinge member 14 having the depending pin 15 thereon fitting in an opening 16 provided in a mounting mem-` ber 17 on top of the container 5. The hinge member 14, as shown clearly in Fig. 2, `is adapted, when it is desired to store the frame within the cover 12, to swing upwardly within the confines of the frame member and in this position forms` a handle whereby the frame member may be lifted ont of the cover.
The frame member 13, as shown, is provided with an external groove extendingI around tlieouter surface thereof and in this groove there` are wound the primary coil 20 consisting of a small number of turns of: insulated wire held out of engagement `with the bottom of the groove by means of the insulating spacing members 21 provided at each `angle in the `frame member. This primary coil has one end secured to the binding post 22 and the other end thereof secnredto the binding post 23 whichbinding posts may be connected by suitable leads shown at 24 and 25 to an aerial 26 and ground 27. Also wound in the groove in the member 13 are relatively large number of turns of a secondary coil 28 which is spaced from the primary coil 20 by means of the spacing members 29 mounted at the corners of the frame 13.
