While I show anddescribethe device of my invention asrbeing particularly adapted for true basine containers, l do not limit myself to` containers of that appearance as it is evident that containers of other forms may be employed and hence they are included within the scope of my invention. n

lVhat I claim is y l. ln a compact container,in combination,

twoconcave shells hinged-.ly attached to ea'cli other, a hinged compact holder havingtwo extended parallel retainerY armspositioned between said shells atoppositeend portions of saidhinge, removable compact iframes ca# pable of insertion within said arms, means for removably retaining said trames between said arms and a mirror carried upon the inner face of each said shell. Y

2. ln a compact container, in combination,

' two concave shells liingedly atta hed to each other, a hinged channel. FJ-shaped compa-ct holder having two extended parallel retainer arms positioned between said shells at opposite endportions ot said hinge, removable ycompact frames capable cia insertion within arms and -a -mirrorcarried upon the inner face of each shell. y

4. In alcompact container, in combination, two concave shells hingedly attached to each other, a hinged channel U-shaped compact holder having two extended parallel retainer arms positioned betweensaid shells at opposite end portions of said hinge, .compact frames capable of insertion and retention within said arms, means carried by said compact holder for removably retaining said compact frames within said arms and a mirror carried upon the inner 'face of each shell.

5. In a compact container, in combination,
