The present invention relates to an at- Ayertical bolsterbar 10 is fixed to the tachment for tractors of that type wherein plate 8 by rivets or the like against the flange the front dirigible wheels are relatively close 9 thus preventing any shearing; of the rivets together and the object of the attachment orthe like and this bar 10 extends below the resides in the provision of a supplemental lower end of'the pla'te 8. The lower end of 55 bolster structure afi'ordinga front axle so the (plate 8 and the adjacent portion of the that the front dirigible wheels may be disbar are bolted by means of a U-bolt 11 posed farther apart to cause the tractor to tothe conventional bolster structure S. ride more steadily to cause the same to not so. 'An axle 12 is bolted at its center to the 10 easily topple over. lower end of the bolster barlO as isindi 60 Another very important object of the incated at 14. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is: 1. In combination with a tractor having a frame with a depending front bolster structure including steering operating mechanism, a bolster assembly comprising a pair of cross bars bolted to the front of the frame, a vertical plate secured to the centers of the cross bars and extending therebelow, a bolster 10 bar secured to the plate and extending below the plate, an axle having its center bolted to the lower extremity of the bolster bar, steering knuckles on the ends of the axle, wheels 7 on the steering knuckles, arms extending from the steering knuckles, a connecting rod between the arms, an arm operatively connected with the steering mechanism and pivotally connected with the center of the connecting rod. V 2. In combination with a tractor having a frame with a depending front bolster structure including steering operating mechanism, a bolster assembly comprising a pair of cross bars bolted to the front of the frame, a ver- 5 tical plate. secured to the centers of the cross bars and extending therebelow, a bolster bar secured to the plate and extending below the plate, an axle having itscenter bolted to the lower extremity of the bolster bar, steering knuckles on the ends of the axle, wheels on the steering knuckles, arms extending from the steering knuckles, a connecting rod between the arms, an arm operatively connected with the steering mechanism and pivotally connected with the center of the connecting rod, said plate having a side flange along one side edge of the bolster bar.
3. In combination with a tractor having a frame with a depending front bolster structure including steering operating mechanism, a bolster assembly comprising a pair of cross bars bolted to the front of the frame, a ver-' tical plate secured to the centers of the cross bars and extending therebelow, abolster bar secured to the plate and extending below the plate, an axle having its center bolted to the lower extremity of the bolster bar, steering knuckles on the ends of the axle, wheels on the steering knuckles, arms extending from the steering knuckles, a connecting rod between the arms, an arm operatively connected with the steering mechanism and pivotally connected with the center of the connecting rod, a V-shaped brace having its ends fixed to the ends of the axle and extending rearwardly, a second V-shaped brace having its ends fixed to the frame and inclining downwardly and rearwardly, means pivotally connecting the apexes of the V-shaped brace. In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
