My present. invention has reference to ladies stocking protectors, the. object being the provision of an article of this character which may be easily, quickly and snugly sus- 5 tained upon the leg of the user and which has at its upper end a fold that provides a cuff and likewise affords a receptacle for a pocketbook and for other articles.
A still further object is the provision of an article of this character which is preferably constructed of rubber or rubberized material and which wholly covers the leg from a suitable distance above the foot portion of the user and which, when not in use, may
be folded into a small compact bundle and still serve as a container for pocketbooks, money and other valuables.
To the attainment of the foregoing the invention consists in the improvement herezo inafter described and definitely claimed.

The protector 1 has an instep portion 2 and a heel portion 3, and between these portions there are straps 4 that are connected by suitable fastening means. At a suitable distance above the lower portion of the legging, the same from the outer side thereof is slitted longitudinally for a suitable distance to afford the con venient application of the improvement on the wearer. Projecting from the slitted portion there is a flap 5 and fastening means 6 connect the lapping portion of the flap to the body of the legging.
The legging, adjacent to the top thereof, is integrally formed with an upwardly extending cult that affords a pocket 7. The upper edge of the legging is designed to be folded over the cuff or pocket to fully close said pocket.
