This invention relatesto a hand pad.
' Objects of this invention are to provide a novel form of hand pad which is particularly adapted-to be used to hold water for moistening the thumb, or'fingers, or for moistening'materials, such for instance, as
moistening the flaps'of envelopes, or other work of this type, and whichis so constructed free to manipulate the envelopes or other work without interference from the pad.
An embodiment'of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a view of the pad showing'the hand in dotted lines, such view being partly broken away. v a I Figure 2 is a transversesectional view on the line 22 ofFigure 1.
Figure 3 is. a view of the preferred form of fastener on the back of the hand.

The'pad is preferably formed from sponge rubber and isrelatively thin, as compared with its width or length.
Preferably, the pad is of roughly heart shape, or of triangular shape, with the apex pointing away from the thumb, and with'the base pointing towards the thumb.
If the back is formed of rubber it is preferably vulcanized to the sponge rubber pad so that the back and'pad form together a single rubber member. If a leather or other type of back is used, it maybe secured to th pad by waterproof cement.
