The process is very simple to carry out and consists in applying a coating of gelatine to the paper which after drying becomes transparent. According to the degree of transparency required the gelatine solution is applied on one or both sides. The thickness of the coating and the manner in which it is applied may be any that is desired. Instead of gelatine other colloidally acting substances may be used. I claim A process for producing a transparent paper particularly for packing edibles, which 0 comprises in coating the outside of both sides of a translucent paper with a solution of gelatine to render it transparent.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
