IMPROVEMENT IN CURTAIN-FIXTURES.
' Specification forming part of Letters Patent No- 17S,5l2, dated June 13, 1876; application filed March 13, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
- Be it known that I, JAIRUS GoLLINs, of Fairview, in the county of Guernsey and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful [mprovement in the Adjustment of Window-Ourtain, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.
The object of my invention is to adjust a window-curtain to any height desired by rolling it down from the top or taking it up from the bottom by the use of one roller, 0, to take the curtain up or let it out when desired.
The cords N N, or their equivalents,to which the roller is suspended, are fastened to the double-grooved end pieces K K and the top of the window-casing, so that when the roller ascends it takes them up, and when it descends it lets them out. The cords M M are also fastened to the double-grooved end pieces y by pulling on it, the roller will revolve in the double end pieces K K and take the curtain up from the bottom,and, by lifting the weight B, the weight of the curtain will cause the roller to revolve in the opposite direction and allow it to descend to the bottom of the window.
' What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The double-grooved end piece K K, in combination with the cords M M and N N, operated in the manner set forth.-
