This invention relates to mop heads and particularly to that class in which the handle is mounted for oscillation to either side of the mop so that both sides of themop may be selectively used.

The principal object of this invention is the provision of a mop head comprising a substantially flat frame having an inner member and an outer member, the outer member being adapted to securely hold the mop material and having a three-point attachment to said inner member.

Another object of the present invention is the provision of a mop head comprising an inner frame and an outer frame, the outer frame being formed of a plurality of strands of wire twisted around each other and having mop material secured between said strands by the twisting thereof, said outer frame being connected adjacent its ends to said inner frame, and having a bar attached to one strand of saidtwisted outer frame and to said inner frame. 1

It will be noted that the mop material does not extend to the inner ends of arms 23 but is spaced apart therefrom thus permitting the insertion of frame 21 in the sockets. Bar 20 extends forwardly and is secured at its outer end to the inner strand of the twisted wire frame 21, thus maintaining a smooth outer surface of the frame 21 and supporting the parts in a fixed relation. Bar 20 is provided with a strengthening rib 25 which is formed therein. The bay 26 formed between the two parallel arms 23 is of sufficient width to allow the free movement of the handle receiving member 11 to either side of the mop thus making it possible to reverse the mop so that either side may be used for the mopping operation.

The inner frame 10 may be made of a single piece of material and changed considerably in form without departing from the invention.

The mop head is constructed with its parts disposed substantially in the same plane and when the mop material is in position, is effectively covered with no parts protruding that might damage the furniture, etc.

I do not wish to limit this invention to the structure. shown and described since many modifications may be made within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit thereof. What I claim is:

1. A mop head comprising inner frame withits front. portion spaced apart from said inner i framejand having spaced apart inwardly extending parallel 7 arms secured to sald inner frame, and an out wardly extending bar carriedloy said inner frame and secured at its'outer end to said looped wire frame. v
