Another object of the invention is to provide locomotive superstructure" adapted to be installed 'oniior removed from a'locomotivebedfasa unit, or in sections, and comprising a smoke box, an economizer l housing, and a steamjgenerator housing.
A further object, of the 'inventionis to 1 provide superstructure of the type indicated embodying covers for-the generator and economizer which =may be conveniently "opened to facilitate installation or removal of the units.

smoke box and cylinder saddles l3, cylinders 14, distribution valve chests 15, a generator pocket 16, an economizer pocket 17, and a smoke hox pocket 18.
The body member 11 is formed with parallel vertical side walls 11*, having axle openings 1-1",-a lateral longitudinal flange 11, on each'sitle wall, and transverse verticall'ovalls 11, connecting the side walls in the nature of cross ties and spaced to form axle pockets.
