The light weight of the hair waver is a very desirable feature as by virtue thereof the waver may be worn for a considerable length of time without discomfort, thus making the wave more enduring and lasting. The construction is also very simple and hair wavers thus constructed may be placed on the market at Y a low price.

The embodiment shown in Figures 5 and 6 is similar to that previously described, with the exception of the hinge or pivot construction. In the construction of Figures 5 and 6, the loop 15 passes through openings 20 formed through the arched rib. portion 10 at the end thereof, the material of the end being flattened to permit the alignment of the openings. This construction is somewhat cheaperthan that of the first modification, although the hinge so obtained is not quite as nicein appearance.

Various slight alterations and modifications may be resorted to in the practice of the invention and no limitations are to be imposed upon the invention other than necessitated by the state of the prior art and the scone of the appended claims.
