I receptacle 3 is Application filed se tmberee, 152e, seri lit coarse;
The present invention relates to improvements in receptacles and has reference more particularly to a container for use in pickling food products such as vegetables, meats. Q
5 7 One of the important objects of the present invention is to provide'a'pickling recep-.- tacle that includes a means for facilitating the draining of theliquid whereby the food products undergoing the pickling action may 10 be removed fr-om'the receptacle withoutre moving the brine or chemically'itreated liquidwith'such products. i
Still afurther object is to provide a pickling receptacle of the above mentioned character Wliichis simple in constructiominexpensive, strong and durable andfurther well adapted to the purposes for which it is de- Q signed; y p Other objects and'advantages Will become ii fiapparent during the course of the following description. 1 v
In the accompanying drawing, forming a. part of this specification, andiin which like Q numerals indicate like parts throughout the V Figure '1 is a side elevation of the pickling receptacle embodying my invention.,'

'In, the drawing whereinforthe purpose of illustration is shown the preferred embodiment of my invention, the numeral 1 desig nates a substantialy cylindrical main receptacle that maybe constructed of stoneware,
wood metal or an other suitable materialr a y a This main receptacle is preferably open at its top and is formed in its side with a serles 3 of staggered drain openings 2 that extend for the entire'height ofthemain receptacle as is clearly illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 of thedrawingsr' A substantially semi-cylindrical auxiliary secured to the outer face of are soldered or otherwise secured to theouter i surface of-Qt-h main receptacletoi'provide a leak-proof tacles.
