Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patentis:
1. A curtain rod cornice of the class de scribed, comprising: a central cornice forming member a side piece swingablv connected to each end of said central cornice forming member; a hinge mounted on the inner surface of each of said side pieces, one end of said being free for swingable move- 'm'ent relatively to the side piece on'which mounted-and provided with w an opening formedtherein; a telescoping adjusting rod extending: parallel to said central cornice forming member and positioned rearwardly thereof; a hing leaf securedto each end of said adjusting rod; and a hook on said hing leaf engageable with the opening on said free .end of saidhlnge and securing said sidepieces in fixed relation to said adjusting rod.
