Itis manifest that `the bottom of the garment by reason of `the elasticity of the webbing, will iitA-snuglyubelow the hips ofthe wearer at the crotch without bindino' his limbs, and conform at all times to his figure and even in occasion of strenuous activity not hinder their use.

To insure a snug fit of the garment between the limbs of the wearer, a strap 24 having a plurality of buttonholes 25 and 26 formed on one end, and a series of buttonholes 27 worked in the other end may be fastened to the front and back portions of the garment. A plurality'of but-tons 2S and 29 are sewed on the back portion of the strip 1 as shown in `ldigure 1 adapted to receive the buttonholes 25and 26. The .buttonholes 27 are adapted to be buttoned over the same series of buttons 9and O'assecure the Vfront edges kof the nnion garment.

To properly vfit vvcorpulent persons, the `strip lmay be cut differently to vconform with increased abdominal proportions.k The body is cutso that the width in the middle is greater lthanl that at the ends, as shown in Figure 2, and the webbing joined in the same manner. lIt is apparent that this construction may be variedto any desired degree to suit the requirements of thevarious anatomical peculiarities of diierent persons.

There is accomplished by this invention an `attachment for uniting an outer garment to trousers, buttoned approximatelyabout the waistline of the outer garment and fitted about the trousers slightlybelow the hips of the wearer, that will not bind the limbs of the person, but work to exclude` the penetration of cold, and lend additional protection kto the abdominal portions.

I claim: s 1. An attachment for uniting an outer garment and trousers, comprising a cloth strip turned over at the top and side edges, a series of buttonholes worked in the top edge ofthe strip adapted to engage corresponding buttons sewn around the inner portion of an L outer garment, a series of buttonholes worked in one side edge of the strip adapted yto engage corresponding buttons sewn on .the opposite side edge, a Vlining sewed in the turned over top andside edges of the strip, a folded-over strip of kelastic webbing having the edges sewed between thebottom ot the lining and the strip, said elastic webbing being sewn while stretched between the bottom of the lining andthe strip, and means to secure Vthe ends of theelastic webbing. i

An attachment for uniting an outer garment and trousers comprising a cloth strip of a width substantially the same as the distance between the waistband and the crotch of the trousers, means jto Jfasten the cloth strip to the inner portion of an outer garment adj acentvthe waistband of the trousers,
