IMPROVEMENT IN EAVES-TR'OUGH HANGERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 1 76,979, dated May 2, 1876; application filed March 21, 1876.
To all-whom it may concern Be it known that '1, JOHN S. MILLER, of
Pontiac, in the county of Oakland, and in the State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Eaves-Trough Hangers and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.
The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of an eavestrough hanger, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth. 7
In the annexed drawing, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my invention. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same.
A represents a section of an eaves-trough, of usual construction, with head a along its outer'edge' B is a semicircular iron bar, formed witha hook, I), at its outer end, to pass around the head a. of the trough.
The inner end of thebow B is bent outward, and formed with a T-shaped head, d, which is inserted in a slotted hanger, c. The upper end of this hanger is bent at right angles, and forms a point, D, to be driven into the building at any point where needed.

By means of the slotted hanger G the trough Having thus fully described my invention,
what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- w 1. The bow B, provided with hook I) and T-shaped head at, for the purposes herein set forth.
2. The combination of the bow B, having hook b and T-shaped head d, the slotted hanger O, with point I), the bolt h, and nut 1?, all constructed substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
3. The tongue or pallet G, in combination with the trough, bow, and hanger, for the purposes herein set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 7th day of March, 1876.
