With these and other objects in view, as will appear hereinafter, my invention consists of certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts and portions, as will be hereinafter described in detail and particularly set forth in the appended claims, reference being had te the accompanying drawings and to the characters of reference thereon, which form a part of this application, in which:

My wall table and seat structure, as illustrated in the drawings, is provided with a casing in which the table and seats are adapted to be positioned when folded up, which casing consists of a door 1, pivotally mounted (at one edge, and casing members 2 and 3 secured respectively near the side and upper edges of the door and extending inwardly therefrom, the vertical casing members 2"being preferably reinforced with the door 1 near their lower ends by means of angle irons 4. The door frame 5, within and on which the door 1 is pivotally mounted, is

similar in construction to the conventional door frame'and is provided at one side with a stop member 5 for the door when in a closed position, as shown in Fig. 3. lntcrmediate the top and bottom ends of the door 1 and on the inner side thereof is pivotally mounted a table by means of hinges 6. Said table consists of a rectangular frame 7, secured at one end to the hinges 6, a table top member 8 secured to the normally upper side of the frame 7, and a pedestal 9, pivotally connected by means of hinges 10 to a cross member 7 intermediate the normally front and rear ends of the frame 7. It will be noted that the pedestal 9 is preferably flat and of the same thickness as the frame 7, so that when the table is folded up against the door 1, the pedestal does not project beyond the frame. On the door 1 is provided a pair of latch members 11 for supporting thetable in an upright or folded position.

The casing, previously described, is provided at its front or open side with a pair of cabinet doors 12 which are hinged at the outer edges of'the upright casing members 2 and are adapted to enclose the casing when thetable and seats are folded up. At the lower portions of the inner sides of the doors 12 are shiftably mounted seat supporting members 13, Y which consist preferably of'boards provided with a plurality of vertically elongated slots 1.3 through which extend screws 1 1- adapted to hold the members 13 in position. At the upper edges of the members 13 are pivotally mounted the seat members 15 by means of hinges 16, as shown best in Fig. 3. At the normally lower side and intermediate the ends of the seat members 15 are pivotally connected the leg members 17 by means of hinges 18, there being preferably provided two leg members to each seat. The rear leg portions 17 of the leg members 17 of each seat extend upwardly a considerable distance beyond the seat members thereof and are pivotally connected with each other by means of a tie member 19, which Lveasao serves also .as a back support. The tie mem} bers 19 are'pivotally connected intermediate their ends with the doors 12 by means of links 20 of any suitable construction and preferably of a length substantially equal to the distance between the pivotal connection of the leg members with the tie members 19 and the seat members 15. The purpose of the links 20 is to fold the leg members 17 against the bottomside-of the seat members 15 when the same are adapted to be folded against the doors 12.

Near the rear edges of the seat members 15 are pivotally mounted the back members 21 by means of hinges 22. Said back members consist preferably of rectangular frames between the ends of which are provided a plurality of flat slats or rungs 21*, as shown best in Fig. 4', the end rungs being so positioned as to engage at their relatively outer edges the relatively inner or adjacent edges. of the portions 17? of the leg members 17 extending above the seat members, thus serving to reinforce the seats and hold the same in an unfolded position when the back members are folded backwardly. The tie members 19 are adapted to support the back members 21 in an inclined position by reason of the engagement of the upper portions of the rungs 21* with the members 19 intermediate their ends, as shown best in Figs. 1 and 4. The upper ends ofthe leg portions 17 are preferably beveled off at their inner sides to conform with the inclination of the back members when in an operative position. I

-At the upper portions of the inner sides of the doors 12 are provided latch members '23 for holding the seats against the doors when folded up.

When the table and seats are folded up and positioned within the casing when the doors 12 are closed, the door 1 may be rotated about its pivotalsupport and positioned as shown by dotted lines in 'Fig. 3, so that the table and seats may be used in another room, the opening of the door frame 5 serving as a passage between the two rooms when the door 1 is shifted as stated.

It is obfious from this construction, as illustrated in the drawings and disclosed in the foregoing specification, that there is provided a table and seat structure as aimed at diate the ends of said seat member, portions v areasao rnent substantially as set forth in the appended claims. 1 I

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure byLetters Patent, is:

1. In a concealable table and seat structure, a casing, a table member pivotally supported of said leg members extending above said seat member, a back supporting member pivot-- ally connecting the portions of said leg members extending above said seat member, and

a back member pivotally connected at its lower portion at the back portion of said seat member and' adanted to rest at its upper portion against said back supporting member.

16. In furnishings, a cabinet having a rear wall and an open front, supports, a hinged connection between each of said supports and said cabinet,'seat units, a hinged connection between each of said seat units and one of said supports, some of said connections being vertically shiftable to permit a vertical shifting between the parts connected whereby to support said seat units and said supports when folded but to leave said seat units sus-- ceptible of vertical movement with respect to said cabinet when in position for use.

17. In concealable furnishings, a cabinet having a rear wall and an open front, hinged doors for closing said cabinet front,a table unit of substantially the width of said cabinet and foldably connected with said rear wall, and bench unitsfoldably connected endwise with the inner faces of said doors, legs at the inner and outer ends of each of said bench units foldably connected to the lower sides thereof adapted to support the bench uni ts independently of the doors, said bench units being adapted, when said doors are opened and exposed parallel with the face of the cabinet. to be projected to each side of the lateral liiplils of said cabinet and parallel with said ta i e. u

18. 19. In combination, a support, a seat member, a freely vertically shiftable hinge connection between one end of said seat member and said support, and inm r and outer legs for said seat member pivotally connected'to the lower side thereof, the inner leg being pivoted to the seat member at a. point closely adjacent the snpport,said seat member bein, adapted to assume 'a vertical inoperative position against said support-or a horizontal operative position extending from said support, whereby in said operative position said legs support said seat member,independently of said support.
