Both the plate cylinders g and Z may be moved out of their operative position together with the small impression cylinder 0 by means of the control arrangement 25 which comprises a common control rod 20 adapted to act upon the eccentric bearings 42, w, w for the said cylinders. For this purpose the two eccentric bearings 42 and to, which serve for the displacement of the plate. cylinders g and Z are disposed at difierent sides of the plane passing through the axes of the two plate cylinders and the blanket cylinder. cylinder n is arranged so as to be able to collect two sheets.
The machine according to the invention may also be used for perfecting which, in the printers terminology, means to print a sheet upon both sides. In this case the small cylinder 0 must be provided with an india rubber blanket upon which to re ceive the printing from the printing surface a} during its first rotation. During the second rotation it seizes a sheet, which is supplied from the feed table, by means of its grippers b and transmits same to the grippers h of the blanket cylinder.. The sheet then comes into contact with the india rubber blanket 11 and is printed upon on both sides while passing between the impression cylinder '0 and the blanket cylinder, whereupon it is moved to the delivery roll '11..
In the embodiment of the printing machine shown in the drawing there is shown a standard y upon which'a pair of adjustable cutting cylders a is mounted, between which a emai in web of paper I) may be supplied from a roll of paper a. The sheets cut from the said web are seized by the grippers b of the impression cylinder 0 'and moved through the printing machine inthe afore described manner; for which purpose the lppers b of the impressio cylinder may e made adjustable. v 1
This application is a division of the application of Alfred Fallot, Serial No. 690,030, filed February 1, 1924, now Patent No. 1,668,999, May 8, 1928. The single figure in this application corresponds to Fig. 1 as originally filed in said application. Having now particularly described the nature of my said invention and in what manner the same is to be performed; I declare that what I claim is 1. In a two color rotary printing machine a blanket-cylinder, two blankets on the same, two plate cylinders adapted to cooperate with said blanketcylinder, an impression cylinderof only the half diameter of the blanket cylinder, a paper feeding device, a set of grippers on the said impression cylinder by means of which the sheet coming from the feeding device is passed once around the impression cylinder to be printed upon by one of the blankets of the blanket cylinder, a second set, of grippers on theblanket cylinder by means of which the sheet thereupon is caught and is printed upon by passing between the impression cyl inder and the second blanket of the blanket cylinder and a delivery device for removing the printed sheet from the machine;

In a two color rotary printing machine, a blanket cylinder, two blankets on the same, aplate cylinder on each side of the blanket cylinder, inder and of the two plate cylinders all lying in-one plane, offset surfaces on the plate cylinders arranged in such a manner, that the the axes of the blanket cylpressure of both plate cylinders upon the blanket cylinder commences simultaneously. an impression cylinder of only the half diameter of the blanket cylinder, a paper feeding device. a set of grippers on the said impression cylinder by means of which the sheet coming from the feeding device is passed once around the impression cylinder to be printed upon by one of the blankets of the blanket cylinder, a second set of grippers on the blanket cylinder by means of which the sheet thereupon is caught and is printed upon by passing between the impression cylinder and the second blanket of the blanket cylinder and a delivery device for removing the printed sheet from themachine.
3. In a.-two color rotary printing machine, a blanket cylinder,"two blankets on the same, a plate cylinder arranged on each side of the blanket cylinder and adapted to cooperate with thesame, the axes. of the blanket cylinder and of the two plate cylinders all lying in one plane, excentric bearings for said plate cylinders, the centres of such excentric bearingsbeing disposed at difierent sides of the common plane passing through the axes of the two plate cylinder. and the blanket c linder, an impression cylinder of only the half diameter of the said impression cylinder,' common means for simultaneously moving all excentric bearings in order to bring said plate cylinders and said impression cylinder out of operablanket'cylinder, an excentric bearing for i tive engagement with the blanket cylinder,
