IMPROVEMENT IN EXTENSION-TABLE SLIDES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 1 76,916, dated May 2, 1876; application filed March 6, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OEARLEs F. SNYDER, of Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Slides for Extension- Tables, of which the following is a specifica- 'tion The invention consists in making, the outer ends of the two outside sections higher than their inner ends or the intermediate sections.
The two end permanent tops of extensiontables are immovably fastened to the slides, and in order to enable the center sections and the inner ends of the outside sections to pass freely under these permanent tops, it is necessary that these permanent tops be support- To obviate these defects is the object of this invention, whereby is provided for the table manufacturer a slide all ready for use, to which the permanent end tops may be secured with a certainty of a free and easy movement of the slide.
In the drawing, A B are sections of slides, which in their general construction and arrangement may be made in any ordinary manner. can show the elevated portions of the sections on which the end permanent tops rest, as shown in section in Fig. 2, 0 being a section of one of such permanent tops.
