IMPROVEMENT IN GRAIN-CAPS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 176,480, dated April 25, 1876; application filed February 12, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, FREEMAN. PLUMMER, of the county of Lawrence and State of Illinois, have invented a certain Improvement for Forming and Constructing Grain-Gaps for sheltering and shielding shocks and stacks in the field, of which the following is a specificatiOll:
First, I form a clamp, made of wood or other material, from bars or rods by attaching the ends of the same together. The bars at one end are so attached as to allow the clamp to be separated at the opposite end, allowing one bar of the clamp to pass under and the other over the gavel, as it is dropped from the machine, after which the clamp is closed over the straw of the middle of the FREEMAN PLUMMER.
