This invention consists in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and `claimed whereby the terraces are provided with observation gangways and with rotary annular platforms which encircle the stories which project above the terraces.
ln the drawings, Fig. 1 is a side view of a building constructed according to .this invention. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same. Fig. 3 is a vertical section through one side portion of a terrace and the platform supported by it, and showing the driving mechanism, and is drawn to a larger scale. 'Fig 4 is a plan view of the principal parts shown in F ig. 3.
The building shown has a series of stories a, b, c, cl and e, each upper story being smaller in area than the story below it, and forming terraces al, b1, c1, Z1 and el. The ground floor or bottom story a is intended as a place ofamusement of any approved sort. The upper stories are also intended as places of amusement, and their interiors are provided with a suitable central passage for the elevators or stairs which afford access from one story to another. This passage also forms suitable service rooms for the various terraces, and for the motors for rotating their platforms. Annular gangways 7c are supported by the terraces around their outer portions, and are raised above the level of the terraces to which they pertain.
These gangways preferably have projecting vbalconies g, and these gangways and balconies are preferably open to the air and` form places of observation of the surrounding country. Each terrace is provided with a rotary annular platform f which encircles the story which projects from the terrace to which the platform pertains. These platforms are graduated insize to correspond with the stories and terraces, and each platform is provided with wheels which run on circular rails 7b secured to the terrace. below the platform. The centralrpassage is provided with 'doors n or openings or windowa race has no projections.
leading from it onto the various rotary platforms, and thence to the observation gangways and balconies. An electric motor z' for driving each platform is arranged in the passage adjacent to the platform, and each motor 65 drives a toothed wheel which meshes into a circular toothed. rack secured to the underside of the platform.
The top of the tower is preferably provided `1 with a fountain 0. On the third terrace the platform may extend to the flooring l of the balconies, the gangway being omitted; and on the fourth terrace .the balconies are omitted, so that the periphery m of this ter- Y Vhat Iclaimis:V Y
