Having now described and ascertained the nature of my said invention, I declare that what I claim is:
1. A delivery valve structure adapted for connection in the injection pipingof an internal combustion engine and constructed for ready assembly or disassembly in themaking of replacementsof the valve seat and valve,
comprising a pair of complementary members I adapted tolbe connected together and each adapted tobe connected to a portion of said injection piping to be supported thereby, a
valve seat member removably mounted be a valve within the valve seat member, said valve seat member having a lip therearound and a groove in the said member adjacent said lip and in communication with the forked portion of the saidbore, said lip being spaced from the wall of the bore of the said sleeve to form a filter ,for the fuel pass ing from the piping throughthe bore of-the. said sleeve into the forked portion of the bore of the valve seat member.

A delivery valve structure adapted for connection to the injection piping of an internal combustion engine and constructed for ready assembly or disassembling in the making of replacements'and'the like of the valve seat {and valve, comprisin a valve casing member having a bore therein, said valve casing member being adapted for connection to one portion of the injection piping, a sleeve slidably and removably mounted within the bored said valve casin member, and having a bore therein connecte to and in alignment with the-bore of the valve casing member, said sleeve being ada ted for connection to an-' other portion of t e injection piping, a valve seat member slidably and removably mount mounted within said valve seat member, and

In an internal combustion engine of the character described, and in combination, a cylinder, a fuel pump a delivery valve housble readily detachable of the parts of said valve housing, a pipe connecting another of said parts of said valve housing with said. cylinder, and a removable delivery valve seat and delivery valveoperatively positioned within said valve housin 7. Apparatus of the character descri ed, comprising in combination, a cylinder of an internal combustion engine, afuel-pump feeding the cylinder, injection piping leading from the fuel pump. to the cylinder, a valve fitting including separable readily detachable parts interposed intermediate the ends of the piping and supported thereby, and a delivery valve within said fitting for 'controlling the flow through said piping.

In a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine of the character described, and in coinbination, a fuel pump feeding a plurality of cylinders, piping leading from the fuel pump to the cylinders, a single delivery valve in 'said injection piping controlling the flow through said piping, and a valve fitting for the delivery valve comprisin interfitting each leading toone of the pluralityof cylinders, a removable valve seating carrying the delivery valve removably mounted wlthin said interfitting parts, and means for detachably cou ling the said interfitting parts in g relation to provide a readily assembled oil-tight construction.

In an internal combustion engine of the character described, the combination with a cylinder; of a fuel pump feeding the cylinder, an injection piping leading from the pump to the cylinder, a delivery valve controlling the fiow through the piping, and a fitting in said piping providing both a valve filftizlflg for the delivery valve and a filter for I t e uel passing through the injection piping to the cy inder.
10. In a multi-c linder internal combustion engine of the c aracter described, and in combination, a fuel pump feeding a pluralit of cylinders, a delivery valve houslng inclu ing separable readily detachable parts, a pipe connecting said pump with said valve housing, piping'connecting said valve housing to a plurality of cylinders, and a single delivery valve seat and delivery valve removably parts slidably mounted one wit in the other,
mounted within'said detachable valve housing for controlling flow through the piping to the plurality of cylinders.
11. A delivery valve structure adapted for connection in theinjection pipingof an internal combustion engine for controlling the flow through the piping, comprising a fitting in said piping including detachably coupled interfitting parts, a removable valve seating carrying the delivery valve contained within said interfittingparts, one 'end of the valveseating remote from the valve being provided with ribs and an intervening groove which together with the inner wall of one of v the enclosing parts form a filter for the fuel passing through the piping.

For use with an internal combustion engine of the character described, a delivery valve structure for controllin the flow of fuel to the engine, --comprismg a fitting formed of? detachably coupled interfitting parts, a removable valve seating carrying a delivery valve enclosed within said interfitting parts, the valve seating cooperating with the inner wall of one of the enclosing parts to provide an annular restricted passage serving to filter the fuel passing through the piping.

A delivery valve structure adapted for connection in the injection piping of an inp ternal combustionengine and constructed for ready assembly and disassembly'in the making of replacements of the valve seat and va ve, comprising a valve casing member having a bore therein and adapted for connection to one portion of the injection piping, a sleeve adapted for connection to another portion of the injection piping and slidably and removably mounted within the bore of said valve casing member, said sleeve having a bore therein in alignment with the bore of said Valve casing member, a valve seat member slidably and removably mounted within the said aligned bores, a valve mounted within the valve seat member, a flange on said valve seat member slidably engaging the valve casing member beyond the end of said sleeve, packing means positioned on both sides of said flange, and detachable coupling means for fastening the interfitting parts together to com ress the packing to form a readily assemble oil-tight construction.
