provide an improved means whereby a stream of such material as pulverized coal may be uniformly and efiecti'vely distributed between 7 several branches. As illustrative of this object it is customary, in the burning of pulverized coal, to employ a plurality of burners,
the coal being supplied to said burners I through pipes branching from a main conduit 1 or supply line. Uniformity of feed and relativeequality of distribution is highly desirable, and this is accomplished by means of my invention. V V
More specifically it is an'object of my in-. vention to provide a distributor which is of simple construction and easy and inexpensiv to manufacture. V v
The foregoi1ig,together with such other objects as may hereinafter appear, or are incident to my invention, are realized by ,a construction which I have illustrated in the preferred form in the accompanying drawings, wherein- Fig. 1 is a section taken through mydi'stributor mechanism on the line 1-1 of Fig. 2.

Referring now to F igs. 1 and 2, the reference character 7 denotes a tubular coupling member or throat adapted to be, connected to the main supply conduit not shown. At-

The effect ofthe distributors is to split up the main stream of coal into a plu rality of smaller streams, and certain of these smaller streams are directed into one branch 9. and the remainder into theother branch .9.
