The present invention relates to afmassaging apparatus and has forits prime object to provide a structure for massaging the body Another very important object of the in-- vention resides in the provisioniof an apparatus of this nature which includes a plu'-- rality of. series, of disks mounted on spaced parallel axesin a frame and a bail for rotatably receiving the frame.
A still further very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a mas:
.7 inafter more fully descri ed and claimed.
gsaging apparatus of this nature which is ex I ceedingly slmple in constructlon, inexpensive to manufacture, strong and durable, easy to.
manipulate, affording exercise 'in'its use, and thoroughly eflicient and reliable.
WVith the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description-pro ceeds, the invention resides in certain. novelfeatures of construction and in the combina-v tion and arrangement of arts as Will be heredrawing in detail it'will i v :be seen that the numeral 5 denotes a U-shaped bail or frame-from thecenter of which projects a'handle 6 fixed thereto in anys it bl P erred manner. a 1
Numerals 7 denote a pair of bars.
8 has reduced .ends journaled through the centers of the-bars 7 and journaled through the extremity of the'bail 5. Shafts 9 are ournaled between the ends of the bar 7. A plu rality of=disks 10 are journaled on-the'shafts 8 and 9 being. disposed in spaced relation to.
one another .by washers 12. s p r The disk 10fonthe shafts 9 aretstag gered in relation'to the disks 10 onthe shafts 8.
. "It will fur 1s=simple Itherefore may be manufactured at Iner.
the invention as hereinafter'claimed' orsacri-, ficing any'of its advantages. W
in ma 4 fIf hav'e shownthe ldisks of the shafts 8 {slightly overlapping the disksfof the shafts 9.
a t will thus be seen that the uni't including ahedisks andtheshafts 8 and 9 andthe arms v7 may revolve in the bail 5 and the disks may revolve about their: respective shafts. The d-isksgmay be made of rubber, bone" or suitable material. w r Y ln-usingthis apparatus the dislzs are'rolled- 60. 'over'the part of thebody which it is desired i to massage for reducing or for :bringingjabout a healthy condition-by inciting" the circulation of blood and aper'son in massaging himself also attains considerable"exerciseas'will be apparents f' f. .7 g
ther be seen that the apparatus a'low cost. "llhereis-nothin'g about the .ap-
paratus to get; out of order and itavill, therefore, operate efficiently and in a re1iableman It isthou'glit the construction, operation, utility and advantages of this invention will now be quite apparent to thoseskilled' in this art withouta more detailed description V thereof. 1
The present embodiment of the invention has been disclosed in considerable detail mere- 1y for the purposes of exemplification since L in actual practice it attains the features of,
" advantage ,f enumerated as desirable in the statement-of the invention andthe above description.-
It will be apparent tails of. construction, and-in the-combination and arrangement of parts maybe resorted to without departingjfrom thespirit or scope of 595 'Having'thus described my invention, what I cla m asnew s:
- 1. A massaging apparatus of the class de- '7 I scribed including a baih'a framerockable, in the bail including a pair of bars and three shafts journaledtransversely-between the bars, thecenter shaftbeing" journaled inthe ends of 'therbail for pivotally mounting the frame therein," a; plurality; of disks, on each shaft-.j v
