To all whom -it may concern:
Be it known that we, NATHAN B. AEEoTT and JOHN P. ORANFORD, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of' New York, have invented an Improvement in Cross-Walks for Composition Pavements, ot' which the following is a specification:
Streets and roads have been made ot composition containing bituminous material, sand, gravel, stones, and similar substances, laid down in an arched or curved surface running across the street, so as to throw the water to the gutter-Ways. In this mode of laying' the cross-Walk the roadway does not have to be prepared for said cross-walk until the roadway itself is entirely finished, which is a great advantage, especially Where the heavy steam-rollers are employed to roll the pavement in various directions, because this rolling would injure the cross-Walk itl previously laid.
