Referring to the'drawings in detail:

The edge part 11 engages the lscreen wire 1 at the bend 9 of the metallic frame. VItis then folded as indicated -at 12 on itself forming the portion k13,then7foldedy at 14 and against the part rv11. It is folded a thirdtime as indicated at15 and the end 16 is bent inward against 'the portion 13. The two folded edge parts 12j and-'15 provide'a V-shaped edge as indicated at 17 w-hich engages the curved edge 7 Vof the' frame. The locking strip 10 is inserted by placing theedge portion 11 against Athe screengwire 1, as shown. Itis then moved g inward, inthe direction-of the arrow 18 "forcing theV-shaped-edge 17k against the curved edge'7. Since the portion 5 is-more 'the screen ,wire 1. -v
or less elastic it servesto retain the locliing member in place and properly stretches The adjacent corner pieces 2 yare locked to# gether by means of the right angular shaped member 19, having the depressions and 21. The members W2 are formed with struck up tongue portions 20 which enter the recesses 20 and 21 as shown in Fig. 4. Their ends engage the shoulders 23'tlius preventing the adjacent corner portions ofthe screen frames from drawing apart. v i
Referring to Fig. 6 which shows the complete window frame installed, 24 designates the window sill on whiclithe lower edge 4 ofthe screen frame'i'ests. '25 is'avstrip of angle 'iron that is secured to the sill V24 by meansbf the screws 26. 27 is a spring catch tliatis located on thestrip 25.l It is formed with a shoulder part 2,8 that snaps over the portion 8 of the screen frame when thescreen is moved downward. This prevents ythe removal of the screen from the outside of the window screen. It is to be understood thatthis View shows the screen as being insert-able from the inside.
