This invention relates to improvements in water-tempering sectional spray heads more particularly adapted for sanitary wash foun tain use.
From an ordinary spray head only water of the same uniform temperature can be discharged. As a number of persons use wash fountains equipped with such a spray head, this is objectionable, due to the fact that the ter'nperature of the water satisfactory to one might not please the others;
It is one of the objects of the present in vention to overcome the before-mentioned objctionable feature and provide a sectional spray head having means for not only controlling the flow of water from difiier ent sec tiohs but also having means for mixing controlling the temperature of the water flowing from each section of the spray head.
A'further object (if the invention is to pro vide a water tempering sectional spray head which is of simple construction, is strong durable and is well adapted for the purpose described. a

Valves 29 extending through the top portion 8 and threaded openings 30 in; the body portion 6 are in communication with the cold water chamber" 1 1. The valves 29 also have ports 31 opening communication with the mixingchambers 25 so that when the handles 32 are turned to openthe valves the cold water can flow from the cold water chamber 11 to the mixing chambers 25. Other valves 33 extend through the top portion 8 and threaded openings 34 of the body portion connect with the hot water chamber 12. The said hot water valves 33 also have ports similar to the ports 31 which also open into the mixing chambers 25 so that when the handles 35 of said valves are turned into open position the hot water from the hot'water chamber 12 can also enter the mixing chambers 25 and temper the cold water therein, and as there is a mixing chamber for each quarter section of the spray head the temperature of the water flowing from each section can be controlled by the valves for each section. Furthermore, each individual user can control the flow of water from a particular section so that water will not be wasted in flowing from sections not in use. I
lVhile only one form of the spray head is shown and described, it is to be understood that the form may be changed or modified without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
From the foregoing description it will be 'seenthat the water tempering sectional spray head is of very simple construction and is well adapted for the purpose described.
What I claim as my invention is 1. A spray head, comprising a casing divided by partitions to form a plurality of upper sections and lowercompartments and having spray discharge openings for each section, independent valves for each section for individually controlling the flow of water from the lower compartments to the upper sections and thereby controlling the tempera ture and flow of water discharged through the sprayopenings of each section, means for supplying cold water to one of thelower compartments, and means for supplying hot water to the other lower compartment.
2. A spray head, vided by partitions to form a plurality of up per sections and lower compartments and having spray discharge openings for each section, some of the upper sections forming individual mixing chambers for some of the hot and cold water, independent valves for controlling the flow of hot and cold water from the lower compartments to the mixing chamber of each section and thereby controlling the temperature and flow of water discharged through the spray openings of each section, means for supplying cold water to one of the lower compartments, and means for supplying hot water to the other lower compartment. i
8. A -spray head, comprising a casing formedof a body portion and top and bottom portions connected thereto, said casing having partitions forming lower hot and cold water compartments and also having upper partitions forming sections, each of which comprising a casing diinclude a mixing chamber, and a discharge chamber in communication therewith, the casing also having spray openings in communication with the discharge chambers, independent valves for controlling the flow of hot and cold water from the lower compartments to the mixing chamber of each section and thereby controlling the temperature and flow oi water discharged through the spray openings of each section, means for supplying cold water to the lower cold water compartment, and means for supplying hot water to the lower hot water compartment.

A. spray head, comprising a casing formed of a body portion and top and bottom portions connected thereto, the upper part of said body portion providing sections and each section having an inner mixing chamber and an outer discharging chamber, said casing having spray openings in communication with the discharge chambers, the lower part of said body portion providing a cold water chamber and a hot water chamber, acold water supply pipe for the lower cold water chamber, a hot water supply pipe for the lower hot water chamber, and independent valves for controlling the flow of hot and cold water from the lower compart ments to the mixing chamber of each section and thereby independently controlling the temperature and flow of water discharged through the spray openings of each section.
5. A spray head, comprising a casing formed of a body portion and top and bottom portions connected thereto, the upper part of said'body portion being recessed to form sections having inner mixing chambers and outer discharge chambers in communication therewith, the peripheral part of the body portion having spray openings in communication with the discharge chambers, the lower part of said body portion being recessed to form a cold water chamber and a hot water chamber, a cold water supply pipe for the lower coldwater chamber, a hot water supply pipe for the lower hot water chamber, and independent manually operated valves connecting each mixing chamber to the hot and the cold water chambers and thereby independently controlling the temperature and flow of water discharged through the spray openings of each section.

A; spray head, comprising a casing formed of a body portion and top and bottom portions connected thereto, the upper part of said body portion being recessed to form sections having inner mixing chambers and outer discharge chambers in communication therewith, the peripheral part of the body portion having a .line of segmental spray openings in communication with the dis charge chambers, the lower part of said body portion being recessed to form a cold water chamber and a hot water chamber, pipes extending through the top portion and threaded into the body portion for supplying hot and cold Water to the lower chambers, and inde-' section for individually controlling the How of hot and cold Water from the compartments to the sections and thereby the flow and temperature of the Water discharged from each section, means for supplying hot Water to one of the compartments, and means for supplying cold water to the other compartment.
