According to the invention the boat is constructed with a pointed nose or how, a square stern, a fiat bottom, floor boards, covering all or part of the bottom and bearers, two sets one near the stern facing the bow of the boat andthe other near the bow facingthe stern of the boat, the stern seat bea back rest for such seat, and a separate crank and handle for operating each paddle wheel.

The boat is constructed with pointed nose or bow A, a square stern B, a flat bottom C,

One form of water-tight packing is shown 5 in Fig? 5 and 6. It comprises a circular plate afiixed to the outside of the boat and having a cylindrical flange is provided with a screw thread on its outer surface, the shaft h passing through the centre of the plate,
and a second circular plate K afiixed to the insideof the boat and having a flange-k the inner diameter of which is the same as the outer diameter of the flange is so that it can be screwed on to the latter.
