IMPROVEMENT IN GRAVER-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l74,136, dated February 29, 1876; application filed January 17,1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, CLARENCE M. How ARI), of Fredonia, in the countyof Uhautauqua and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvementsv in Graver-Holder; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use. it, reference being had to and secured in any suitable manner. The lower end of this holder is formed into a circle, or nearly so, and in the edge of this circular part are formed a number of recesses, e, g of various shapes and 0t any size required, into which the blunt ends of the gravers d are inserted, to be held while being used. By thus having these recesses formed in a circle the graver can bechanged from one angle to another, as may be desired, so 'as to do all kinds of work. 1
Having thus described my invention, I claim i a A graver-holder consisting of the handle a and holder 0, having a circular end and a series of recesses, e, to receive the graver d, substantially as'described and shown.
