Another object of my invention is to provide agarment drier in which garment cleaners may hasten the drying operation of garments while at the same time holding the ginother object of my invention is to provide a garment drier having a plurality of racks over which the garment may be supported and secured with a plurality of motors mounted beneath the racks, sai'dmotors beingadapted to be swung beneath any rack desired.

Another object of my invention is to pr0- vide a garment drier having a base portion in which a motor driven fan is pivoted for a lateral movement with a plurality of racks with garment supporting means associated 'withsaid racks, the fan being adapted to be swung on its pivot to its position immediately beneath any one of the plurality of racks.

Some of the objects of my invention having been stated, other objects will appear as the description proceeds, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, ,in which Figure 1 is a front perspective View of my garment drier;

Referring more particularly to the drawings, the numeral 10 indicates a central standard portion from which projects the members 11, 12, 13, and 14:, and secured to the outer ends of these members are the uprights 15, 16, 17 and 18. Circular members 20, 21, 22, and 23 are secured to the member 10 and are also secured to the uprights 15 to 18 and these circular members have the conventional clothes pins 24 secured thereto by means of the tension spring 25.

On the other side of the upright 10 are mounted in like manner the braces 32 and 33 which support the motor 34, having the fan 35 thereon and around this motor and fan is the circular-rack 36 which has the screen 37 over the top thereof. The motor 28 and associated parts are adapted to be swung selectively under the rack 22 or the rack 23 and the motor 3% and associated parts can likewise be swung under the rack 20 or 21. i

' The upright 10 projects upwardly and by means of a union 40 is connected to the upright 41 which upright portion 41 has the laterally projecting arms 42, 4L3, 44, and 45, on

which are mounted the pulleys ac and 47. Secured to the member 41 as at 48 and 49 are the strips 50, 51, 52, and 53 which are secured in such a manner as to leave a space between Slidably 55, 56, 57 and 58 which members are adapted to receive the end of a cord 59 as at 60 which cord projects upwardly and runs through the pulleys 46 and 47 and has a garment supporting means 61 detachably secured on the lower end thereof. These slidable members 55 to 58 are adapted to be locked in position by the weight of the garment and the tension under which the garment is held as is readily apthan the members such as 21 and 20, it will fit down over the exterior of said members when not in use and when it is desired to be used it can he raised upwardly and the member 24: secured to the outer skirt and adjusted in position by the wing nut 63.

I also slidably mount on the members 50 to 53Qin a manner similar to the mounting means for the members 55 to 58, the ring shaped members 64 which have the securin means 24 attached thereto and are adapte to hold the sleeve 65 of the garment 66.

Slidably mounted around the upright members 15 to 18 is the cuff member in which I adjustably secure the lower end of the upright 71 and this upright 71 passes through the support 72 and has the ring shaped member 7 3 secured to the upper end thereof and has the securing members mounted thereon.

The securing members 24 are adapted to be secured to the sleeves 7 5 of the garment and these members when slid upwardly or downwardly to the proper position are automatically secured in the proper position by the pull of the garment sleeve exerting a binding effect.

In operation, I secure a garment to the rack 21 and swing the fan 35 beneath the same, and while this is being operated thus, I can also secure a garment over the rack 20 and have the same ready for drying as soon as the rear garment is dried, at which time the motor and fan can be swung beneath the rack 20 and the drying operation carried on while the rear rack is being cleared of the garment and another garment secured in its stead. This same method of operation can be carried out on the other side of the machine. It is therefore, readily apparent that I can dry two garments at one time, and can be removing other garments from the machine and placing undricd ones in their stead while the drying operation on the other garments is being carried out.

In the drawings and specification I have set forth a preferred embodiment of my inven tion, and although specific terms are employed, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only, and not for purposes of limitation, the scope of my invention being set forth in the appended claims.

I claim:

1. In a garment drying device for-use in cleaning establishments, the combination of a base portion having an extended upright central portion, a plurality of relatively shorter upright portions, a motor driven fan pivotally mounted on the upright central portion, a plurality of circular members socured above the fan and being held in position by the upright central portion and the shorter upright portions, means on the circular members for holding the lower portion of a garment, outwardly projecting members secured to the upper end of the upright central portion, pulleys secured on the outwardly projecting members, a cord adapted to be passed thru the pulleys and to have socured to the outer lower end thereof, a garment sup 'iorting member, a plurality of vertically adjustable members slidably mounted on the. central upright portion, and means for holding the sleeves of the garment in proper position.

2. In a garment drying device for use in cleaning establishments, a base portion, an upwardly extending central portion, a fan and fan guard pivotally secured in the base portion to the upwardly extending central portion, means associated with the base portion for holding the lower portion of a garment, means for supporting the upper portion of a garment, and means for holding the sleeves of the garment in proper position.

3. In a garment drier, a baseportion, a central upright portion projecting from the base portion, a plurality of means mounted in the base portion for securing a garment in posi tion, a frame member having a motor driven fan' mounted therein, said. frame member being pivoted in the base portion and being adapted to be selectively swung into position beneath any of the means for holding the garment.

In a garment drier, a plurality of means for holding garments in position while the same are being dried, and a motor driven fan pivotally mounted in the drier and being adapted to be placed in position to dry any selected garment.

6. A garment drier having means for holding in proper drying position a plurality of garments at the same time, and a pivotally mounted fan for forcing a column of air thru any selected garment.

In a garment drier, a base portion, a central upright portion extending above the base portion, a plurality of garment supporting members secured to the upright portion, a plurality of means in the base portion for securing the lower portion of garments in position, a plurality of motor driven fans mounted in the base portion and being pivot-- ally secured therein in such a manner as to permit the fans to be selectively swung into position beneath any of the garment holding means, means for holding the sleeves of the garment during the drying operation, and means for holding a medial portion of the garment during the drying operation.
