fAnother and further object of the invention is the provision of an impr vement in assemblies of the characterdescribed which by reason of its being cut from a large sheet of-'metaLon a punch press makes possible extremely low cost in production.

Before proceeding'with a detailed description of the specilic invention attention is directed to the\fact that the present inventive idea as expressed in theclaimsforming a i' part of this specification can-be appliedto stoves of many different characters without departing from the spirit of the inventionas expressed in those claims.
The high shelf bracket has been previously- -referred to and indicated as an entirety by theletter H. This bracket is in `reality made up of two parts,v one of which is indicated `by the numeral l0 and is in effect the main bracket'or what lmay be termedthelouter shell while the second' part is indicated, by
the numeral 11 and we have termed this part the bracket lining. -v The bracket shell or part 1 Ois cut from a sheet of metal on a punch press into-the shape I indicated in Fig. 5 of the drawings and then bent` or formedvon a forming press'into the shape or congurationappearing in Fig. 4 of the drawings wherein it will beseen there is a'main outer wall 12 whichat its lower end is narrow andl provided' with an inwardly `bent portion 13 form-ing a vbottom while 'at its top end this wall is broad and provided vwith an inwardly bent or extending portion f 14 forming a top. The bracket at its rear 1s provided with a back 17 which back has extending throughout its length and at rightangles to itself a flange 18.
From the foregoing it V.will be seen that the bracket part 10 is in reality a shell having one open side and the bracket lining 11 is formed to fit and be retained within this shell as clearly appears in Fig. 3 of thedrawings. f
The bracket lining has a wall 19 which is similarin configuration to the wall 12 of the bracket shell and has a top portion and zoP a bottom v21. At its front edge the lining is rovided vwith an inwardly curved portlon .22 having throughout its length a depression 23. 'The portion 22 gis of a similar configuration to the front 15 ofthe shell. At its rear edge the portion 19 of the lining is provided with a V-shaped bulge 24 termi-l nating in a straight wall 25 extending the length of the lining whichwall in turn terminates` in an inwardly bent flange 26 which also extends throughout the length or height 0f the lining.

By reference to Fig. 2 of the drawings it will be seen that-.the splash plate is fastened at its lower edge by a suitable blt 39 and that the oifsetportion 30.at the lower end of the back rests upon lthe top .of the stove. Throughout'the major portion of its length the rear'edge of the shelf` G rests upon the offset Aportion or seat 29 .at the upper edge of the splash back and the splash back is-attached to the shelf by means of a suitable bolt' 4 0.- The oifsetportion or seat 33 abuts the inner, oven wall 27 while the iange 34 overlaps the back of the oven and is attached thereto byvs'uitable bolts 41.
