SANDIG 'HEDCAL SYRINGE Filed Aug. 2l, 1928 INVENTOR am m4 ATTORNEYS Patented oct. s, 1929 :UNITED STATES vPATENT ortica ERNST SANDIG, OF BERLIN, GERMANY," ASIGNOB -TO THE FIRM JULUS FRIED- LAENDEB, GUHMIWABEN-FABBIX, G. I. B. H., OF BERLIN, GERMANY MEDICAL SYRINGE i Application led August 21, 1928, Beria No. 301,118, and- ,in Germany September 12, 1927.
The invention relates to enemas and like medical syringes, intended more particularly for use when travelling. v
According to the invention a Wrapper or cover, Which'ma be of rubber or other foldable, waterproo material, has on its inside a foldable container for the liquid, to which the syringe tube .is connected, sothat when the appliance is not in use the container and the tube may be Wrapped up inthe cover.` The container may be held in a sheath on the in side of the cover,'or may beintegral with the cover.
Two embodiments of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawing, in Figs. 1 and 2 and in Fig. 3 respectively.
Fig. 1 shows the appliance unfolded, with the tube in the pocket.
Fig. 2 shows it folded. Fig. 3 shows the appliance unfolded, with the ktube (partly broken away) outside the oc et. p Referring first t Figs. 1 and 2, a is the cover sheet and b is a-smaller sheet attached thereto to form a sheath on the inside of the cover, c being a pocket, also on the inside.
The foldable liquid container d is inserted into the sheath formed by the sheets a and b, and the syringe tube f, when not in use, is placed in the pocket c. There is an eye-ie in the cover, for hanging -it up while in use. Tho cover has spring buttons and sockets g, for fastening it when folded.
In the modification shown in Fig. 3 there are a cover sheet a1 and pocket c1, similar to the cover and pocket described with reference to Figs. 1 and 2, the cover having an eye e1 and buttons and studs g1, but the liquid conf tainer is formed in part by the cover itself pouch arranged on one side of said cover sheet intermediate the ends thereof, a syringe tube connected to said pouch, and a pocket on the same side of said cover sheet for said tube, said cover sheet being adapted to be folded around said pouch and said tube.
2. A medical syrin e, comprising a foldable cover sheet, a folable liquid containing pouch integral with said cover sheet and arranged on one side thereof, and a syringe tube connected to said pouch, said cover sheet being adapted to be folded around said pouch and said tube'. v
8. As a new article of manufacture, a medical syringe comprising-a foldable cover sheet and a. foldable li uid containing pouch arranged `on one si e of said cover sheet intermediate the ends thereof, said cover sheet being adapted to be folded up flat with said pouch'on theinside thereof.v
` ERNST SANDIG.
and in part by a sheet b1 having its sides and v bottom edges attached to the cover, an. outlet d1 being provided at the bottom, to which the syringe tube f1 is connected. In this case` also vthe tube is placed in the pocket, when not in use. y
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is v 1. IA medical syringe, comprising a foldable cover sheet, a foldable liquid containing
