The object of my invention is to provide a rolling window screen construction 'wherein the casing and the tracks for the screen may coact with each other for insuring proper alignment of the screen guides or tracks relative to the casing, he parts being simple and easily installed. I More particularly my invention relates to a casing having aslot opening therein through which a screen or the like may be withdrawn from the casing and a pair of bearing plates formed in the casing and spaced inwardly from the ends of the casing, the ends of the I slot opening extending beyond the bearing 1' plates for receiving portions of tracks therein whereby the tracks will be positioned and aligned relative to the casing and particularly the slot opening therein through which the screen passes.

With these and other objects in view, my invention consists in the I construction, arrangement and combinationof the various parts of my rolling window screen construe tion, whereby the objects contemplated are attained, as hereinafter more fully set forth, pointed out in my claims and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

The casing A includes a top wall 10, a bottom wall 12, a front'wall 14 and a back wall 16.
At the junction between the bottom wall 12 and the front wall 14-1 provide a slot opening 18 extending the entire length of the casing. In each end of the casing A and spaced inwardly from the ends thereof, is a bearing plate 20. The bearing plate 20 is formed with outwardly extending side flanges which are adapted to rest against the four Walls of the casing A and to be secured thereto by' spot welding or other suitable means so that the bearing plates 20 are rigidly held within the casing A.
' The material of the bottom and front walls adjacent the slot opening 18 is bent over or doubled upon itself so as to provide a rolled up, doubled edge upon each side of the slot 18 as at 22. It will be noted that a bearing plate 20 is, in each end of the casing anda shaft or the like 24 has its ends projected through the bearing plates 20.
Between the two bearing plates 20 may be mounted a spring roller of any suitable kind (not shown) upon which may be mounted a screen 26. The side edges of the screen 26 are formed with enlarged spaced clips 28.
A screen 26 is designed to pass out of the casing A through the slot opening 1 8. It will be noted that the ends of the slot opening 18 project beyond the two bearing plates 20.
The track B includes a fastening flange 30 and a guide portion 32. The guide portion 32 is provided with a slot or slit opening 34; which extends lengthwise of the track for pertended therethrough and into the guide portion 32. A The clips 28 which are mounted upon the side edges of the screen 26 are designed to travel and be received in the guide portion 32. It will be noted that when the screen is withdrawn from the casing and pulled L through the slot opening 18 that it is desirable to always have the side edge of the screen .100

The lip 36 is adapted to extend into the casing A through the slot opening 18 in that portion of the slot 18 beyond or on the outside of the bearing plate 20. The track B below the upper end thereof, engages and abuts against the underside or bottom of the easguide in A. 1
%he upper end of the guide portion 32 is arranged so that it is in alignment with the slot opening 18 between the two bearing plates 20 or on the side of the bearing plate opposite from the lip 36. v
It will be noted that the upper end of the track B coacts with the slot opening 18 and the bearing plate 20 as clearly illustrated in Figures 2 and 5 of the drawings for positioning the track relative to the casing. The tubular portion 32 of the track is thus always insured of ,being properly positioned relative to the slot opening Band in turn relative to the side edge of the screen 26 as well as the clips 28.
The-tracks B arethus at their upper end fixed and positioned relative to the casing A which allows easy installation of the rolling window screen construction. Slots 38 are formed in the fastening flange 30 of the track B for securing the tracks B to the sides of the window casing or the like.
Some changes may 'be made in the construction and arrangement of the parts of my device without departing from the real spirit and purpose of my inventionyand it is my intention to coverby my claims, any modified forms of structure or use of mechanical equivalents, within their scope.
