I The purpose of this invention has been to design certain novel sign apparatus especially useful in show windows, or on sign-boards, or in like places, for attracting attention to advertising matter, or constituting advertising matter itself.

The features of the invention which have been especially devised for its purposes involve the provision of means for readily mounting a moving sign part upon a window or support, to facilitate its actuation by suitable motor operating device of any simple kind, and said moving part may be associated with a sign feature directly painted on the Window or other support, or it may be associated with a separate sign part also attached to the window, or supporting base, whatever it may be.

It is known that sign devices involving moving parts, serve to attract attention better than stationary sign apparatus and owing to the movability feature and peculiar mounting feature of my invention, I find that it proves highly successful for the desired pur pose, in practise.

In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a front elevation of a window to which my sign apparatus is applied, the motor operating means being also depicted at the upper right hand corner of the view.

Figure 2 is a vertical sectional View taken about on the line 22 of Figure 1.

Figure 3 is a view in elevation of a modified adaptation of the invention.

Figure 4 is a sectional view taken on about the line 4-4 of Figure 3.

Figure 5 is a similar sectional view taken about on the line 5-5 of Figure 3.

For a full understanding of the present invention, reference may be had to the drawings, the figures of which are briefly described above, in conjunction with the following description that sets forth certain preferred embodiments of the invention, to which, however, I do not wish to be entirely confined in the carrying out of the principles of construction employed, except as required by the scope of the appended claims.
