, This invention relates generally to dispensing devices and, more particularly, to a certain new and useful improvement 1n dispensing devices especially adapted for use 1n onnection with collapsible tubes and the ike. l
My invention has for its object the provision of a simple, durable, practical,- and convenientl operable device for eiciently, eco- ]o nomica y, and with the elimination of waste dispensing the contents of collapsible tubes and the like, such as are at the present time generally employed as containers of tooth paste, `shaving-cream, and'other semi-Huid, l5' soft, or plastic compositions or matters. I
And with the above and other objects in view, m invention resides in the novel features o form, construction, arrangement, and combination of parts hereinafter described and pointed out in the claims. In the accompanying drawing,

co-operating rolls or rollers 9, 11. As the member 12 is now rotatorily manipulated, the rolls 9, 11, will, through their meshing relation, be rotated inreverse directions, whereby the tube C will be drawn upwardly and squeezed by and between the rolls and its contents consequently ejected at the mouth of the tube-neck 8. Thus, as the rolls 9, 11, are rotarily actuated, the tube-contents is correspondingly ejected in a most cleanly manner and in measured quantity, and further, as the rolls 9, 11, are co-operatively related to pinch and flatten the tube C therebetween, practically the entire contents of the tube is eventually ejected for consumption, whereb waste is eliminated. As the contents ov one tube C is so consumed, the member 12 may be reversely manipulated, when, in due course, the empty tube C may be readily removed and conveniently replaced by a second filled tube C.
Preferably, as here shown, the frame A may also include outwardly presented suitably slotted supports 15 for tooth-brushes D or the like; and preferably also forming part of the device is ai'eadily removable closure in the form preferably of a trip-lever E for the tube-neck 8, the lever E beine' pivoted intermediate its ends for swingable-movement over the under face of the extension 6 and limited Vin such movement by suitably spaced stops 16, 16. At one end, the lever E is enlarged, as at 17, to fit flatwise as a closure over the otherwise open neck 8 of tube C, and p at its other end, the 4lever E is preferably elongated, as at 18, for convenient manipulating engagement by a finger-or brush-end,

In the form of the device as illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, both inclusive, shiftable movement of the tube-supporting member B is effected merely through and by the engagement between the rolls 9, 11, and the tube C. To more positively effect simultaneous shifting movement of the tube-supporting member B and rotary movement of the rolls 9, 11, the device, as illustrated in Figure 5, may include a suitable rack 19 longitudinally disposed on the elongated plate-section of member B, meshing with which is a pinion 20 fixed on a shaft 21 also mounted for rotation upon the wings 2 and having inter-driving connection with the rolls 9, 11, as by means of a gearwheel 22 fixed on an end thereof and having meshing engagement with the gear-wheel lO. Otherwise the modified form of the device illustrated in Figure 5 is the same as the preferred form thereof illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, and hence the parts are designated by the same'reference characters. It will be evident that, in such modified formv of the device, tube-squeezing or other rotary action of the rolls 9, 11, may be eected on direct shifting actuation imparted to the tube-supporting member B.
I am aware that various-changes in the form, construction, arrangement, and combination of the several parts of my new dispensing device may be made and substituted for those herein shown and described without departing from the nature and principle of my invention.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A device for dispensing by ejection the contents of a collapsible tube including, in
combination, a frame, a" tube-supporting ,member shiftable upon and relatively to the frame, a co-operating pair of rolls mounted for rotation uponfthe frame for engaging and squeezing the supported tube therebetween, and means for simultaneously efiectin positive shiftable movement of said mem er on and with rotary tube-squeezing movement of said rolls, said means. comprising a rack on said member, and a pinion having gear-connection with the rolls. 2. A device for dispensing the contents of a collapsible tube including, in combination, a support, spaced standards. on the support, a member slidably shiftable on the support intermediate the standards, a tube-supporting extension projecting angularly from the support and apertured for registration with the neck 'of the supported tube, a co-operating pair `of rolls mounted for rotation on the standards for engaging and squeezing the tube therebetween for effecting ejection of the tube-contents, the rolls being disposed transof the tubes contents, permanently meshed gears on the rolls for effecting rotation thereof, and a pinion having driven connection with said gears and meshing engagement with the rack for effecting shiftable movement of the plate and the supported tube on rota-` tory actuation of the rolls.
