This invention relates to improvements in a removable table type of Fourdrinier paper making machine; The present application constitutes -a division of our eo-pending ap- 5 plication, Serial No. 57,272, filed September 19th, 1925, wherein various arrangements of track members are shown for effecting the lateral removal of the Fourdrinier table. The present invention relates to an arrangement of table members wherein inner and outer tracks are each pivotally mounted at oneof their respective ends to the side beamof the Fo'urdrinier supporting structure and are adapted to be swung into a position parallel to the side beams or at right angles thereto, with both the inner and outer tracks in each set in alignment with each other; It is therefore an object of this invention to provide pivotally and permanently mountedytrack members upon certain of which the table normally rests and upon which the table may be laterally removed for facilitating the changing of the Fourdr'ini'er wire.
It is a further important object of this in- ,vention to provide an improved removable table and supportingstructure therefor, wherein the inner tracks may be kept in 0perative position during the operation of the machine to form a part of the supporting structure for said removable table in normal position. 1
- It is also an important object of thisinvention to provide'an improved removabletable and supporting structure therefor, wherein the table is supported on inside tracks positioned above the lower run of the wire, whereby the necessity of moving or swingingdown the various wire rolls when the wire is changed is eliminated and where- 40, by the construction oithe Fourdrinier structure is greatly simplified.
Other and further important objects of this invention will be apparent from .the disclo- J suresfin'the specification and the accompany- 45 ing drawings.
" This invention (in a preferred form) is illustrated in the drawings and hereinafter more fullydescribed. On the drawings: Figure 1is a fragmentary, diagrammatic side elevational view of a Fourdrinier paper a making machine, showing a table and supporting structure embodying the principles of this invention;
Figure 2 is a plan view of the same with the table removed to show theoperation of the track members;

Thereis shown in Figure l a portion of a Fourdrinier paper machine of the removable table type embodying the principles of our invention. The reference numeral 1 indicates a supporting structure comprising a pair of spaced, parallel beams 12 and 3 errtending longitudinally of the Fourdriniei structure and rigidly spaced apart by means of transverse beams lbolte'd thereto. Mounted on said supporting structure 1 are a plurality of transverse I-beams 5,'which form a substructure on which-a table, designated as a Whole by the reference numeral 6, is adapt- -.ed to be supported while in operative position. Said transverse I-beams 5 arepermanently and pivotally mounted to the. front 8 longitudinal beam 3, as will later be ex-' plained, and thus-formtrack 'members'on which the table 6 is adapted to be moved when the wire is being changed. The table 4 comprises a pair of table rails 7, preferably formed of channel beams, and extendin parallel to the supporting beams 3 and rigidly connected by transverse beams 8. The'usual table rolls 9, suctionlboxes 10, wire guide roll 11, tension roll 12 and inside wireroll 13 are supported in the customary manner from said table structure 6.
A breast roll 14 and a lower couch roll 15 are separately supported independently of the table structure 6'- with a wire 16 trained around said breast roll 14 and couch roll 15 and passing over the table rolls 9 and suction boxes 10 as in standard practice. Itshould be noted that the rolls 13 and 12 are so positioned as to carryv the lower. run of the wire below the level of the bottom flanges of the track members 5, thus permitting certain of said track members to remain in operative position supporting the table structure 6 during the operation of the machine. Return wire rolls 17, supporting the lower run of the wire, are suitably j'ournaled. in bearings formed in the supporting beams 2 and 3.
Any suitable shaking mechanism may be associated with-the breast roll or table structhe front side beam 3 upon pivotposts 22 and 23 respectively. The pivot posts 22 are mounted directly upon the top flange of the front side beam 3 and the pivot posts 23 are mounted upon brackets 24 bolted to the web of said side beam 3 and extending outwardly therefrom; ,The adjacent ends of the tracks 20 and 21 in each pair are provided with swivel brackets 25 and 26, respectively, adapted to be mounted upon said pivot posts 22 and 23, respectively,- to provide for the swing ing of said tracks 20 and 21 into position either parallel to the side beam 3 or transversely thereto.-
Wearing flanges the upper face of'the top flanges of said tracks 20 and 21 respectively and these wearing flanges extendover the top of the pivot brackets 25 and 26 into closely abutting relation as at 3'6.
i The outer freeend of each of said outer tracks 21 is provided with a depending roller 27 adapted to support said outer track member 21 in. its movement over the floor or supporting base 28.
The free ends of the inner tracks 20 are adapted to rest upon shoes 29 formed upon the rear side beam 2 and tobelocked in position by means of locking devices 30 secured to said rear beam 2 by brackets 31. The free ends of the inner tracks 20 also carry looking devices 32 for locking the table structure 6 in its normal position. I
When it is desired to remove the table laterally, as in changing the Wire, the outer tracks 21 are swung into transverse position in alignment with the inner tracks 20 and the table 6 is then rolled out over the aligned tracks onto the outer tracks 21. The inner tracks 20 are unlocked and swung parallel to the side beam 3 and the new wire suspended in the form of a loop by any of the wellknown methods. The inner tracks 20 are then swung back and locked in place and the table 6 rolled onto said tracks and locked in normal position by meansof a locking device 32. The outer tracks 21- are then swung out of the Way in parallel relation to said beam 3.
Due to the construction wh rein the inner tracks 20 lie above the lower run of the wire in its normal position, said inner tracks may be kept in operative position during the running of the machine without interfering with and pivotally mounted to 33 and 34 are secured to the wire and may therefore form a permanent part of the supporting structure for the table.
The additional labor of elevating the table v directly upon the inside tracks simplifies the construction and operationof the Fourdrinier portion of the machine.
We are aware that, many changes may be made and numerous details of construction may be varied through avwide range witho utdeparting from the principles of this invention, and we, therefore, do not purpose limiting the patent granted hereon otherwise than necessitated by the prior art.
' We claim as our invention:
1. In a paper making machine, a table, a supporting structure therefor and a plurality of track members upon which said table may bra-removed comprising inner and outer pivotally mounted rails.
2. In a paper making machine, a table and a supporting structure therefor including side'beams and inner and outer track members pivotally mounted from said side beams.
3. In a paper making machine, a. table and a supporting structure therefor including side beams and inner and outer track members pivotally and permanently mounted from said side beams. I
4. In a paper making machine, a table and a supporting structure therefor including side beams and inner and outer track members pivotally mounted from'said side beams, said track members being swung at right angles to said si e beams in aligned positions.
'5. In a paper making machine, a supporting structure therefor including side beams and inner and outer track 'members pivotally mounted from said side beams, said track members being adapted to be swung at right angles to said side beams in aligned positions, and means on the outer of said track members for supportingthe free 7 I ends thereof when moved into said last mentioned position.
6. In a paper making machine, a table and a supporting structure therefor including side beams and inner and outer track members pivotally mounted from said side beams, said track members being adapted to be swung at right angles tosaid side beams in a table and ada ted to be f aligned positions, and rotatable means on the outer of said track members for supporting the free ends thereof when moved into said last mentioned position.
7.
