As the. side shaking movement is of very limited extent and is applied to the shaker section at the forward end, that is, the end of the machine at which the standards 8 and hangers 7 y are located, and as the shaker section is quite long, there is very little eifect of the side shaking action at the rear end ot the shaker section, and the pivotal connections (3 afford any looseness that may he required at this point.

llxtending' between the corresponding legs 18, 10 and 20 at opposite sides ot the machine and also between the supports Si" and 30 are channel irons 03 which have their ends at the le'lthand side et the machine, as the latter' is viewed in l, secured by bolts 911i to the respective supports 18, 19, Q0 and 39, and the opposite ends ol5 these channel irons are secured to the corresponding supports 18, 19, Q0 and il?, at the opposite .side ot the machine by an Lsshape'd clamp 05 which has one or more threaded arms ,inserted through 'the respective support, and secured thereto by nnte 00 which clamp the end oit the channel iron 03 in place and atiord an nnobstructct opening into the end oit the channel member. A liilter bar 97 ot suitable cross sectional term to iit therein provided iter each channel member 93, and each lilter bar has an arm or extension 98 piveted at 99 to the outer end thereof, which extension may be held in the extended position against pivotal movement by a locking pin 100 which engages apertures in the adjoining hinge portionsl et' the litter bar and extension respectively.
l have also provided lifting means tor the oljiposite ends ot 'the machine comprising similar socket members 101 which telescope onto the ends ot the shafts 102 and 103 ot the breast roll Si' and the bottom couch roll 55 respectively, said shafts being extended beyond their bearings at the right-hand side of the machine as the latter is viewed in Figa, so as to be engaged by said socket members, and each socket member has a lever or arm 104: pivoted to the outer end tl creol as indicated at 105, and theinterengaging hinge portions et the socket inem'- ber 101 and lever 104V are provided with apertures to receive a pin` 100 whereby the lsocket member 101A and lever l0-Ll are held in alignment and prevented ilrom pivotal movement.
1iifhen it is desired to change the Fourdrinier wire, the deckte trame is lifted from the machine and held at a distance above the latter so as to atii'ord ample clearance between the top ol the machine and the decklc iframe for inserting the new Fourd nier wire therebetween, and the bearing brackets 80 and 82 are nnbolted from the rails -lt and 17 respectively, and these brackets with their sheaves i9 and 81 are likewise lifted and held at a. snitable distance above the top ot the machine. rlhe ripper conch roll 88 also litted and held at a distance above the top ot the machine substantially in a position shown by dotted lines at 92, and the table board 107 which is hinged to the head boli: 108, as indicated at 109, is thrown back so that the entire top el the machine is lett clear 'tor the insertion oi a new Fourdrinier wide. The stretch roll 6i' is litted up and engaged in the hangers 71 as shown by dotted line in Fig. 2: the support nnbolted t'rom the standard 30, and the assembled bearing- 51, plate 'l1/l and leg lf3 unbolted from the standard Sli. rlhe three pivot caps 14 at the right hand side et the machine, as the latter is AViewed in Fig. 4, are also unbolted from the standards 9 and 10 and the extension 12 and the super-structure of the machine is then rear y to be li'tted for inserting' the new Fourdrinier wire. rihe old wire 58 may be removed at any time as it is customary to cut it, and this or course C permits removal oit same bel'ore the machine is separated at the side.
rlhe lifting bars 0i' are now inserted in the channel irons 93, and the sockets 101 inserted. on the ends ot the shatts 102 and 103, as shown in Fig. 3. The levers 98 and 104. are then swung inwardly to positions close against the side ot the machine, as shown by dotted lines in Fig. 3, atter which the new Fourdrinier wire is stretched out on the iioor alongside of the machine. The upper length et the Fourdrinier wire is then lifted and the levers 98 and 104 swung` outwardly to the position shown in full lines in Fig. 3, so as to support the new Fourdrinier wire, as indicated at 110 in 4;, and the locking; pins 100 and 106 are inscrted in place so as to hold the levers 98 and 101 in the out-turned position. The outer ends of all the levers 98 and 1011 are then connected to a hoist 111 and the hoist operated. so as to litt the outer ends oli all these levers simultaneously so that the upper portion of the machine swings on the pivots lll-16u16, 32 and 36 at the lett-hand side of the machine, as the latter is viewed in Fig. el, and the parts 14--1-1-14, 37, @i3 and 51 at the right-hand side of the machine are lifted away. from the parts 9, 10, 11, 12, 30 andv 34 at the right-hand side ol the machine, as shown in Fig. 4, so as to leave a gap therebetween through which the lower length of the new Fourth-inici' wire 110 may be readily inserted. The new Fourdrinier wire 110 is then pushed laterally into the machine with the ends engaging around the breast roll 57 and the bottom. couch roll 55 respectively, and the upper length engaged over the table rolls 25, suction boxes land guide roll 4:8, while the lower length ot the new F ourdrinier wire is inserted between the separated parts of the frame, under the table rolls Q5, save all pans 9.6, stretch roll 67, suction boxes 46, guide roll 48, wire guide box 49 and other parts of the top of the machine, said lower length being inserted over the wire carrying rolls 59, 60, 63r and (S- After the new Fourdrinier wire has been :t'ully inserted, the hoist 111 is operated to lower the outer ends of the levers 98 and 104; so that the members 14-1-1-14, 37 and plate 114 of the assembled bearing` 51 and post t3 rest again on the respective parts, whereby they are supported, dowell pins 112 being` preferably provided on these parts to insure return of said parts to the proper position, and the parts 14-14-14, 37 and 114 are then bolted downk in place. The lifting members 9S and 10d are then removed, the table boa-rd 107 laid down in position and the top couch roll released and lowered into the operative position. The deckle frame 72 is lowered into position with the convex heads 74 ofthe supports 73 engaged in the concaved recesses 75 and the sheaves 79 and S1 are lowered and their brackets 80 and 82 bolted in place on the side rails 4st and 17 respectively. The stretch roll (S7 is then released from the hooks 71 and lowered onto the lower length of the Fourdrinier wire between the rolls 59 andl 60, thereby imposing the necessary tension on 'the wire and the machine is now ready tor operation.
From the foregoing it will be observed that theireplacenient of the Fourdrinierwire is effected without disturbing the table rolls, suction boxes, save all pans, breast roll, lower couch roll, guide roll and various other parts which it has been necessary hereto't'ore to. remove when it is necessary to replace the wire, these parts being` merely lifted with the upper section of the frame to insert a new wire in placey after which the upper section ofthe frame-isbolted back in place.
While l have shown and described my invention in a preterred form, I ain-aware that various changes and modifications may be made without departing 'trom the principles or my invention, the scope of which is to be determined by the appended claims.
I claim:
1. In a Fourdrinier papery making` machine, the combination with supporting' stands, oit a roller-carrying frame removably bolted to said stands at one side of the machine frame, and pivot pins extending; lengthwise of said roller carrying trame at the opposite side ot the machine frame, upon which pivot pins said roller carryingl trame is hingedly mounted.
2. In a Fourdrinier machine, the combination of suitable supporting stands, a roller frame hinged at one side ot the machine to the stands and adapted to be raised therefrom at the opposite side of the machine to receive the wire, and a series or bars adapted to engage said `frame and having outer sections adapted to swing between longitudinally extending and laterally projecting positions.
8. In a Fourdrinier machine, the combination or shaker and suction box sections, each et which comprises a frame hingedly mounted at one side of the machine and detachably supported at the other side, said trames carrying couch, breast and table r ils and suction boxes, and means for lifting said frames at one side on the hinge mounting),` at the other side Jtor adn'iitting an endless Fourdrinier wire into the machine with the upper andlower lengths of the wire positioned respectively above and below said rolls and suction boxes.
ll. ln a Fourdrinier machine, a shake frame comprising a lower supporting section and an. upper roller carrying' section, said sections being` hinged together at both sides of the machine and being' removably connected together at one side of the machine to permit the upper roller carrying; section to be tilted.
5. In a Fourdrinier machine, a shake frame formed of lowerfand upper sections, said lower section comprising longitudinal seams mounted for vertical adjustment and transi'f'erse shaking' movement, supporting' stands on said beams, said upper 'traine section comprising side rails and brackets, the latter being removably bolted to the stands at one side ot' the frame, and pivotal connections having axes extending` in longitudinal alignment, said connections being' arranged between the brackets and stands at the opposite side of the frame.
(S. In a Fourdrinier machine, the combination, with supporting` stands, ot a roller carrying frame tiltably connected at one side of the machine to said stands, a channel bai' extending transversely of said traine9 said channel bar being' bolted to said traine at one side, and a bracket for supporting' said cnannel bar at the opposite side of the :traine whereby said channel bar is lett open at one end to receive a lifting lever.

9. In a Fonrdrinier machine, the conlbination with a roller carrying' traine and snitable supporting' ineans therefor, to which supporting nieans said .traine is connected in manner permitting' said vtraine to be raised at one side for providing; an opening' length- Wise of the machine to receive the Fourdrinier Wire, and ineans for lifting said side et the roller carrying' traine comprising a hinged traine-litter adapted to swing; about a substantially vertical axis so as to lie close alongside et the roller carrying' traine but capable of being' swung out laterally at right angles to the length o'f said traine, and means for raising' the outer end ot said traine-litter.
