Figure 1 is a fragmentary plan view of the invention. Fig. 2 is a side View of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side view of Fig. 1 showing members 23 and 27 folded together and Fig. 4 is a sectional view on line 20-20 Fig. 2 showing construction of member 27.
The invention comprises a channel body member 27 having plates 28 placed on the inner face of the legs thereof which are secured in place by hinge pins 26 and 29. In the center of said. plates and at the edge thereof is formed a lug 30 and bent at a right angle from said plates. Upon the lug 30rests the ends of end members 23 and 27' when hinge is open or extended. The members 23 and 27 are pivotally secured to the body member by the hinge pins 26 and29.
When the hinge is extended in an open position the ends that are pivotally secured to the body member rest upon the lugs 30 thus preventing the hinge from sagging when a Weight is placed thereon.

claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
1. A hinge of the character described comprising a body member and two section members, each of said section members fitting over said body member in such a manner that said body member will rest under the under face of said section members when extended, an inner plate secured to each innersideof said body member, means on said inner plates for receiving the ends of said section members when extended all substantially as set forth.
2. A hinge of the character described comprising a channel shaped body member having inner plates thereto, section members pivot- 4 ally connected to said body member, said inner plates having means thereon whereby the inner ends of said section members rest when extended, all substantially as set forth.
