The primary object of the invention is to provide an apparatus of the kind described, especially adapted for use in carton factories and like establishments fonapplying glue to certain end flaps of vpaperv cartonsbefore folding them Over into superposed relation. .Another object of the invention isto provide a portable, power driven apparatus of this kind, which is fast and positive in Operation and which can Abe easily adjusted to regulate the amount of glueapplied to the workoperated upon. Referring now in detail to that-embodiment of the invention illustrated in the accompanying drawing, 1 indicates as a whole the standard of my improved apparatus which embodies an upright post 2 secured `at its bottom-end toacrow foot like base 3 having casters 4 by which the apparatus is rendered easily portable. the post is a bracket casting 5 having a hor-i- Zontal, forwardly.r and rearwardly extending bushed bearing'opening rand a longitudinally extending, vertically depending flange 7 arranged to the' front of the post'.` To the front face of tliis ange is fixed a rectangular open top boX like container8 for t-he glue or other adhesive employed. vOn the top end said bracket casting which is fiat as indicated at 9 in Fig. 4 is a pair of upright, laterally spaced ears 10-10.
