GAME.

My invention relates to a new, amusing, and instructive game, and consists of such an arrangement of designating points that series of squares may be formed by drawing lines from certain of said points to certain others, and when these lines are drawn, first by one player and then by the other with the object of determining which player can complete the greatest number of squares, a spirit of contest is aroused, to the amusement and instruction of the players. i y

In order that those skilled in the art to which this invention appertains, may understand how to make and use the same, I will describe its construction in detail, referring by nun'icrals to the accompanying drawings forn'iing a part of this application, inwhich -Fig. 1, is a plan of a gamesheet or heard showing one form of the game.

Fig. 2, is a plan similar to Fig. 1, showing another arrangement having stars in certain potential squares.

Fig. 3, is a plan of a still further form of my game having dotted lines thereon indicating the manner of playing the game.

Fig.4, is a plan of a slightly modified form 01' my invention in which the lines to be drawn are indicated by the shape of the starting points. i

i In carrying out my invention as embodied in Figs. 1, 2 and 3, I form on a sneet of paper, other material, or board, a series of indicating points 10, and these indicating points are arranged in configurations, but. so as to provide for the formation of squares by the marking of lines from certain indicating points to other such points.

In the modification shown in Fig. at, a form of game better adapted for younger persons, such as small children, is illustrated, in which the indicating points 15, comprise two lines, either forming a triangle or a cross, these lines determining in which direction the enclosing lines are to extend, thus facilitating the drawings of the lines by the child to complete the squares.

While my improved game is especially adapted for printing upon sheets of paper, so that atthe completion of each. game the score thereof is determined and written on the margin of the paper, and the play is started upon a new sheet containing the indicating points; thus a great variety of combinations and methods of scoring may be utilized, thereby adding interest and instruction to the playing oi the game.
