Another object is to provide a device of the j character mentioned in which the useof valve handles for operating the valves is obviated. A further object is to provide la device of the character mentioned which is easily'attached to the substantially standard arrangement of sources of supply ofv liquids, commonly found in buildings, such as the sources of supply ofhot and cold Water,'the device being of uncomplicated parts and cheap to manufacture, simple and easy to use, not liable t0V get out of order,and easily cleaned.

Referring to Fig. 1, the device embodies two intake members or heads `10and 11,
spaced apart preferably in alinement and v each provided with means such as theV threaded nipples 12 and 13 for connection to a source of supply .of liquid, in the present instance the nipple 12 being connected to a source ofsupply of hot' Water and the nipple 13 to a source of supply'of cold water.
The valve casing 14 is arranged interdisposed chambers 15and`16,1open at their bottoms, the chamber 15 communicating by theconduit 17'with the intake member 10 and the chamber 15 communicating by the. conduit 18 with the intake member 11. The valve casing 14 has on its under or bottom side the annular flange 19,-interiorly threaded near its free end and providing the interior space or chamber 2O communicating with Y both theV chambers 15 and 16.
The valve operatingnozzle 21 has at one `endthereof the curved end portion22 and has at its otherend the oppositely curved end portion-231;'the end portion 22 has'at its end the outwardly and upwardly rextending annular flange 24. The nozzle 21 has adjacent the fiangef24 atthe open end of thebore ofthis member the undulating end face edge purpose later'stated, an annular groove or The valve seat disk 27 is in diameter adapted to engage closely in the space or vchamber 20, and is provided with the circular valve seats 28 and 29 arranged to register with the circular bottomV openings of the chambers 15 and 16, and is provided with thev aliiied screw holes 30. f
The valve members 31 and 32 are balls of any suitable metal or material andare adapted to seatinwater tight position in the valve seats ot the disk 27.
In assembling the device the gasket 33, conforming i-n shape, valve seats and screw holes to tlie valve seat disk 27, is disposed iii tliespace or chamber 20 flat against the endiaces 'ot' the chambers 15 and 16.V The valve seat disk 27 is disposed flat against the gasket 33, the valve seats of the gasket and disk-and screw holes oi the gasket and disk registering', the ball valve members 31` and 82 being disposed in the chambers 15 and 16 so as to seat in the valve seats formed by the gasket and disk, and the disk is secured in place in water tight manner by screws, not shown, passing through the screw holes of the disk and `gasket into the partition wall between the chambers 15 and 16. The annular washer Sel is disposed flat against the under side ot the disk 27 and the curved end 22 -oi the operatingnozzle 21 is inserted in the space orcliamber 2O so that the end faceot the upstanding portion ot the flange 24 lies flat against the washer 34; the annular washer 35 is disposed flat against the under side or-shouldei of the flange 241; and the bushing 86 is thieadedly secured in Vthe space 2O whereby the. end 22 is held in place in the space or chamber 2O in a water tight manner but is rotatably or swingingly movable therein. In Figs. 2 and l l the operating nozzle 21 lies in a plane substantiallyparallel to and below. the planel or the alined conduits 17 and 18 and both the ball valves are received in depressions or low portions oi? the undulating or camsuraccoi the nozzle 21 and thereby close both chambers 14 and 15; by moving or swinging the nozzle 21 at an angle to the line of the conduits 17 and 18, as to the position ii,'Fig. 1, one of the ball valves rides up on a high portion ofl the caml surface tov full open position and permits full flow from one of the'chambers while the other ball valve is ina depression 'of said surface and closes the other chambergby further movement of the nozzle 21 toward the position M the second ball valve is gradually raised and the second chamber is opened for mixing to aY degree the water from the chambers, when the nozzle 21 is moved tothe position M both `valves ride up on-'high portions of the, cani surface. as shown in Fig. 5, and the iiiiirturel from the chambers is of equal parts, it being borneA in mind that the operating of the nozzle 21 is the same on both sides ofv M; on
the side A, the cold water is tempered by hot water and'on the side B the hot water is tempered by cold; it is also seen that the faucet is completely closed by moving the nozzle 21 either to left or right to lie substantially parallel to the conduits 17 or 18.
The operating nozzle 21 may be provided with the insulated knob or handle 37 to prevent burning when the nozzle is manipulated during discharge of hot water, and protective bumpers 38 may be provided between the nozzle 21 and the 'intake members' 10 and 11.
What we claim and desireto protect by Letters Patents is:
1. The combination with means for supcombined discharge nozzle and valve actuating` means cooperating with said valves.
2. The combination with means 1lor supplying liquid under pressure, of intake members, a valve casing having chambers severally communicating with different ones of said intake members, outlet valves in said chambers normally retained in closing p-ositionby pressure of the `liquid received from said means for supplying the same, and a combined discharge nozzle and valve actuatingV means cooperating with said valves.
3. The combinationv with means for supplying liquid, of intake members, a valve casing having chambers severally communicating with different ones of said intake members, said chambers having valve seats providing outletsfroin` said chambers, valve members in the chambers engageable with said valve seats, and a nozzle having a discharge bore communicating with said valvefseats for receiving liquid'from said'. chambers and an end face engageable with said valve members for actuating the valve members.
4. The combination with means for supplying liquid,.of`intake members, avalve casing disposed between saidintake members and having adjoining chamberstherein, a conduit connected to one of said intake members and to one of said chambers, a second conduit connected to tlie'otli-er of said intakef members and to the other otsaid chambers, an outlet valve in each of said chambers, and a combined'discharge nozzle and valve actuating means eooperating with the outletV chambers, asecondconduit connected to the y other of said intake members and tothe other of said chambers, an outlet valvein each of said chambers, and a combined discharge nozzle and valve actuating meanscooperating with the outlet valves of both said chambers. 1
6. The combination with means for supplying liquid, of intake members arranged in spaced aline-ment, a valve casing disposed intermediately of said intake members and in alinement therewith and having adjoining chambers and a flange extending below the bottom of said chambers'and forming a chambered space adjoining the bottoms of" said chambers, a conduit connecting one of said intake members and one of said chambers, a second conduit connecting the other of said intake members and the other of said chambers, a disk disposed in said cham.- bered space and closing both said chambers at their bottoms and having a valve-seat opening for such chamber, a ball valve in each chamber engaging the valve seat open ing appurtenant to the chamber, and a nozzle having an inlet end portion rotatably disposed in said chambered space and having a bore communicating with said chambered space and an end face engageable with both of said ball valves for actuating the valves.
7. In a device of the character described, a discharge nozzle having at the intake end of its bore an undulating valve actuating end face. i
8. In a device of the character described, in combination, ball valve members, and a swingingly movable discharge nozzle having at the intake end of its bore an end face comprising alternate high portions and low portions for actuating the ball valve niembers when the nozzle is swingingly moved.
9. In a device of the kind described, a valve casinghaving chambers provided with outlet valves including ball valve members, and a combined discharge nozzle and valve actuating means cooperating With said ball valve members.
10. In aV device of Valve casing having chambers provided with outlet valves including ball valve members,
