IMPROVEMENT IN LlFTlNG-JACKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 168.663, dated October 11, 1875; application filed June 19, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL EARL MosHER, of Ohillicothe, Ross county, Ohio, have invented a new and Improved Lifting-Jack, of which the following is a specification:
The invention will first be fully described in connection with the drawing, and then pointed out in the claim.
The drawing is a sectional elevation of my improved lifting-jack.
A is the lifting-bar, having downwardly-inclined teeth B on one side, to be engaged by the upwardly-inclined teeth 0 of the liftingdog 1), which is pivoted to the lever E, and the lever is pivoted in the swinging bars F,
which are suspended from the top of the stand Gr, so as to draw the dog into the teeth B by the force applied to the lever. H is a spring holding-pawl, to retain the lifting-bar when SAMUEL EARL MOSHER.
