I claim As a new article of manufacture, a combined guide and controllingr element for" curtains consisting of a@ strip of sheet metal having a portion of its Width bent into a substantially U-shaped-channel in cross-section and having a series of aligned inwardly extending tongues struck up from one of the sidewalls of said channel, said tongues being inclined toward the same end of `said strip, there being a clear space between the ends of said tongues and the opposite side of said strip.
