Description

Sept. 4, 1928.
L. F. KEYSER ROLL GARTER Filed Aug. 1926 Patented Sept. 4, 1928.
PATENT OFFICE.
LEROY F. KEYSER, OF AKRON, OHIO.
Rom. GABTER.
Application filed August 9, 1926.
The invention relates to resilient garters for ladies rolled stockings and is particularly designed and shaped to fill out the roll handsomely and is also constructed of light and porous as well as flexible material thus enabling the user to wear them without nconvenience from heating, binding or wrinkling and will also retain the shape of the roll without danger of its becoming loosened or falling down over the limb.
The garter is formed preferably of a porous s onge rubber having a rounded outer sur ace and a fiat smooth inner surface that engages with the limb.
The invention includes an integral annular band composed of porous or sponge rubber and of circular, semicircular or oval cross section having a thin casing or coating provided with a smooth molded exterior surface that engages directly with the stocking material in which the porous rubber is enclosed and to which it is vulcanized.
The device may be constructed of any size and may be colored to any desired tint such as blue, pink, yellow, green or pastel shades to conform with the color of the stockings.
The. invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings hereinafter more fully described and illustrated-in the accompanying drawings, and specifically pointed out in the claim.
Serial No. 128,092.
In the accompanying drawings Fig. 1 is a side elevation of the device, Fig. 2 is a vertical section therethrough.
Fig. 3 is an enlarged cross section thereof. 3.; Figs. 4 and 5 show cross sections of modified shape.
Hi these views A represents a body formed of soft porous rubber enclosed in an outside casing or shell B of smooth surfaced -10 soft rubber vulcanized thereto. The garter is easily stretched over t climb, and from its shape the stockings can 'readilybe' rolled over it and a smooth roll will be produced that will be ornamental and will not wrinkle 1'5 or rufile the stockings and will also be comfortable to wear since it will not bind the skin or cut into it in any way.
Having described the invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
A garter for rolled stockings comprising an integral annular body composed of porous 0r sponge rubber and having a thin exterior casing thereon composed of smooth solid rubber the inner surface of said garter being fiat in cross section and the exterior surface being rounded in cross section.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature.
