An object of my invention is a simple construbtionl of vfloor Connection to the frame so that the floor may be properly leveled so that the flushing mechanism may operate properly. In the type of flushing mechanism with which my floor is generally connected it is necessary that the operating devices, such as a rod connected to a tilting pan and a bell valve, operate in vertical lines to prevent binding or the like and to allow proper working of the iiuslnng apparatus. j My invention may be considered as an im-` provement on that of Garrie H. Burns #1,256,656, issued February 19, 1918. The particular improvement in the floor comprises using a T-shaped frame which is built into the masonry of the manhole, or the well connected therewith. The platform, which preferably has an upper surface of wood, is adjusted by adjusting screws which ongage an internal flange of the frame and may be utilized to adjust the floor in a horizontal position. In the type of flusher. illustrated a flushing column 17 is secured to the floor board, this cblumn being tubular and having a pan operating rod 18 extending therethrough, this being connected to thepan 19 which is pivotally connected. by an arm 20 to a bracket 21 bolted to the bottom of the floor.
