SAFETY DEVICE FOR WINDOW CLEANERS.

The invention relates to safety devices principally adapted for use by persons while working in cleaning or repairing windows.

The principal object of the invention is to provide a flexible or rigid guard, which may be easily and quickly attached to the window frame and against which an operator leans, so that he may work with areasonable degree of safety.

A device of the character described comprising a pair of relatively thin and flexible metallic strips in overlapping relation, the respective ends of the device having hook-like positions adapted-to engage in staples secured to the window frame, collars slidably mounted on the strips and adapted to fit over the free ends of the hook members to prevent displacement thereof, and means adjustably connecting together the inner portions of said strips.
